There is no fanbase more repugnant than the Paterno cult, and there is no bigger rival than Michigan. That being said, both those teams have beaten Ohio State in the past and will, unfortunately, beat them in the future.

To, however, lose to the juggalos or any other of those backstabbing parasitic little brothers would be an embarrassment of cataclysmic proportions resulting in a world in which ORD_Buckeye can no longer live. Can anyone imagine the juggalo fanbase after an upset? The public shitshow that Ohio State baiting, twitter-addicted fool of a President of theirs would attempt? The smug, retard-like confidence in which Fredo of Ohio, Beavis Fredo, Rubber Fredo, Glass Fredo and STD Fredo would pathetically share in the victory and bemoan the fact that they weren't "lucky" enough to have Ohio State on the schedule this year?

It would be game over, man. Game. Fucking. Over.

Until I see something happen on the field to make me change my mind, the following are games Ohio State can only lose: Navy, Kent State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota.

That leaves three games to win and earn a shot at the NC: Michigan State, Michigan, and Penn State.

That could change quickly once August 30 hits. Minnesota could possibly break into that order, Cincinnati might go into late November with only one loss:
Toledo, Miami (OH), Ohio State, Memphis, Miami (FL) ((possibility of being one of the few teams to beat both Miamis in one season)) SMU, South Florida, Tulane, East Carolina, Connecticut, Temple
Houston.

While I understand and appreciate how many on BP feel about Joesus, Sandusky and the folks at BWI, the bucks still have to play the schedule out. That makes the Penn State game important, possibly the second most important game on the schedule until the CCG.

I honestly don't get how people see games like this. Everyone knew scUM and PSU would be crap this year.
scUM will always be important, but here's the thing... PSU is only relevant when they're ranked; preferably highly ranked. They were never going to be ranked this year.
And neither of those games will have any impact on NC aspirations - or even B1G aspirations. The East Division this year was always going through East Lansing.

And ultimately this is why PSU isn't a rival. They're only relevant to Ohio State when they're on our level. The same role has been filled by Wiscy in the past, and currently MSU. PSU has filled that role at times in the past, but outside those periods... they are no different than Iowa. A decent team that we consistently beat, and expect to beat.
scUM transcends that... because they're a rival.

When there is another team that we care deeply about beating... no matter how shitty they are... then they can be considered a rival.
I'd personally consider adding Notre Dame if we played them more often; and I hope we destroy them in upcoming schedules regardless. But that's lacking history for now.
Even for PSU, I think it's a plastic rivalry... Ohio State has always been a substitute for Pitt. That's all there is to it. The fact that Ohio State is highly successful drives the desire to beat us, but that's not remarkably different than the rest of the conference + Cinci.
I hope Rutgers and/or Maryland can provide a more even rivalry for them... one that isn't so 1-sided. That or they figure out a way to consistently schedule Pitt OOC.

I feel about PSU the same as I do about FSU -- a corrupt and creepy ass program that enables rape against women and children b/c their small-town cult-like football program is more important than anything else in the world. Their entire Athletic Department should've got the death penalty.
On that note, I just saw that their Paterno Rally is scheduled during our game. I guess I shouldn't be surprised... but I hope Meyer out-does himself. Screw those sick fucks.
