I heard the name John Anderson from the University of Minnesota batted around. Think he would be another great choice as he understands northern baseball and has been a proven leader. Would be tough to have a gopher in the dugout but what a sting that would be to the U of MN!

He is also a member of the Hall of Fame and is recognized as a great recruiter and one of the most knowledgable coaches in the industry. Imagine what he could do with the talent that we can draw from and the support the OSU provides.

That would be pretty tacky of a coach to even talk to another school while their team is still playing. I would seriously doubt that he has been in contact with OSU

Baseball rumor of the day..

U of L assistant Chris Lemonis will be interviewing for the job this week. And Tracy Smith apparently interviewed today..all just rumors of course

Another rumor is that Virgina assistant Kevin McMullan may be a candidate.

I heard Lemonis is to interview next Monday or Tuesday. I also heard OSU is offering $250,000 for their Head coaching position.

yea i saw that. I think deep down Smith was my number 1 guy..oh well.

Notre Dame is now hunting for a new head coach, and it will be interesting to see who they target.
i'd imagine Virginia assistant Kevin McMullan will be on their list.

From what little i've been able to gather, i'm gonna say it's between Lemonis and Beals.

FWIW, U of L people a really desperate to keep Lemonis.

What happened to Stricklin? I am not really impressed by Beals resume, however I am not saying I'm a baseball expert at all. I do like Lemonis.

As a fan, I'm hoping for Stricklin or Lemonis.

Not 100% certain why he has fallen from contention, but i think Strick may be a candidate for the ND job.

That's just what i heard a couple days ago, so things may be different now.

Lemonis or Strick would be my choices as well.
