Game Thread tOSU at Texas, Sat. Sept 12, 7:30 pm ET, ABC

I don’t think it’s the kickers at this point. I think the team might sense Day getting tight and plays like this. Prior to this the kicker we brought in was known as being pretty clutch.
It’s both. It’s Day turtling to play for a FG he doesn’t have anyone to kick. Either go recruit a Nugent or play Urban offense and try and score 70 every game. You can’t do neither.

This is CFB. Texas could easily come back and win this game.
Well, Ryan Day has just managed to blow a 23-3 fourth quarter lead.

This is Michigan State 1998 version 2.0.

In that game, Ohio State led 24-9 with 9:40 left in the 3rd quarter with Michigan State punting. Ohio State muffed the punt, Michigan State recovered, and the Spartans went on a 19-0 run to win the game, 28-24.

In this game, Ohio State led 23-3 with 5:47 left in the 3rd quarter with the Buckeyes punting. Texas muffed the punt which should have been recovered by Ohio State but wasn't, and the Longhorns went on a 21-0 run to win the game 24-23.

I have been Ryan Day's biggest supporter over the years, but I'm done. This loss was inexcusable. Day failed to go for the jugular (he never does) and he essentially tried to run out the clock for the entire second half. Gutless football, play not to lose, choke the game away.

Dude….it’s like Day wanted to lose this. Because he called it so

I’m not exaggerating when I say that the last 1:30 looked like Day wanted to make it come down to a goal line stand ………frankly I can’t trust him to beat a team with equal talent. He really hasn’t
This team is not making the goalline stand the teams in the past two years did. Did we lose players from those teams. I always forget.
