The only time I ever saw BukIGuy in person was before the Thursday night Marshall game a couple years ago. He was standing off in a corner at a mostly empty RiverJam eating an entire pizza by himself. I figured there was nothing I could say to him in that situation that he wasn't already kinda saying about himself.

I was tailgating before the 2007 Illinois game when Buckeyeman stopped by to mooch food and offered to sign autographs. He was trying to sign my backpack when I had to stop him and ask him to kindly GTFO.

BuckIGuy holds signing events and even charges when crashing tailgates :shake:

Yet cameramen and buckeye fans fuel his ego week after week :bonk:

The decision to emphasize the strip on defense - an Urban thing or a Withers thing? I think it has to be one of these, as they are the two new variables this year.

I think it's mostly on the players. I think it's one of those things that the players hear the coaches talk about, and then they carry it to extremes without regard for the situation in the game. Braxton Miller's running has been the same way. Miller hears the coach say that he's running it too much, and suddenly he starts to pitch or handoff on every option play instead of making the right read and keeping it when it's warranted. Then he hears that he might need to keep the ball more, and suddenly he's keeping it on every play.

While driving, I saw him at a bank on High Street and kept wondering if:

1) The bank paid him to be there
2) Ohio State cares he shows up wearing their logos.

Bad? Not at all. That is the reaction I'd expect most reasonable adults to have.

You'd be suprised how many 'adults' want to have a picture with any of those 3 losers.

Sorry for the derailment.

Congrats to our boys for coming out of there with the win. You don't have a qb fumble 2x and throw an int and usually come out with a win on the road against a ranked opponent.

Thoughts on the game:

-I'm very happy with the win and how everyone celebrated as a family.

-Hyde ran like a man when given the chance. Ran with authority and kept his legs moving.

-Miller has to take better care of the ball and make the right reads and not to keep it so often.

-I would like to see more down field passes, mainly Stoneburner. He's huge and fast pass to him more often.

-Fragel was lights out. Made Gholston look like crap, well, maybe Gholston wasn't there after being KO'd by his own man.

-Best game Williams has had in a long, long time.

-Shazier grew up today.

-Defensive line as a whole was lights out and was the reason Bell only had 45 yards rushing. Fantastic work.

-DB's with all the penalties....smh.

Overall, I'm happy with how the team performed.

As for the 3 "superfans". All they are, are attention whores. The couple games I've been to all I think to myself is, "Time to grow up."

Just got home. Saw the game belatedly at a friends and havent read through the thread yet so if I repeat somethin....

Basically what the hell was with all the options and swing passes? I wanted to scream everytime I saw Braxton toss it sideways to C. Brown. I mean it worked well once, but seemed to be stopped the other 4-5-6 times they did it.

Very impressed with the tackling compared to the previous 4 games. With the exception of the Sparty TD. 3 players had him, but instead - 1 flying leap, 1 shoulder bump, and 1 attempted strip does not = a sure tackle.

Another frustrating win to watch. Upset that Sparty could throw so well even with the pressure, but so much holding! I swear I saw someone bearhug and then dryhump Simon on the ground.

Where was the deep ball all game? Was that only like 1 of 2 times the entire game there was 1 on 1 coverage? really? sigh.

W. on the road. B1G. Sparty. (and I almost guessed the score 21-17.. off by a few)

Great Experience in E Lansing

Yes the students in the student section were pretty classless at times. However- I took my 9yr old son and everyone from the semidrunk college kids to the grumpy looking gray beards were great.....Superfriendly and other than a time or two at Gameday- were great there as well. Whoever was the offical Sparty mascot at Gameday was incredible with all of the kids. Even before the win it was a great day just walking around exploring and sharing a mutual disgust for tsun.

Well to sum up... Some people blame the playcalling for those two things. I think Miller's play dictated the playcalling to an extent, since he was indecisive and held the ball on the downfield pass plays that they did call, and failed to make the right read or give the ball on a lot of option plays. I think the playcalling was adjusted to keep him from having to make a read at certain points in the game.

Well I figured the playcalling.. And I know Miller looked indecisive at times. Hmm. I guess I just dont understand why they can't call a rollout/pa pass like the one Sparty scored on. I am sure Miller can handle it.

I'd like to think he could handle it on most days. Today, I'm not so sure. I think he was affected by being on the road for the first time this season and facing a constant blitz.
