tOSU at Minnesota, Thurs. Sep 2nd, 8 ET on Fox

I kept saying that while the announcers were going on and on about targeting that they weren't reviewing for targeting, they were reviewing it for a fumble. Which it was. I'm not sure what they were thinking with the targeting - what was the defender supposed to do? Not tackle him? I don't give a fuck what they say, the guy was not "defenseless" and he did not lead with the crown of his helmet. JFC. But to their credit the talk turned to changing the rule and Klatt (I think) quietly said it wasn't targeting. So we got that.

The guy was on the ground for a bit so they overreacted, same as when Trevor Lawrence rolled around and got Wade ejected.

Thankfully it was just the announcers freaking out and not the refs this time.

It would be nice on 3rd and 5+ if we’d drop our LBs into zone in front of those slants that always, always kill us. Maybe just sometimes?
One thing I have not noticed and maybe I am missing it, but with our piss poor pass coverage, I haven't seen us dropping 8 and giving anyone any help on obvious passing situations. It is like there is a rule that we must rush a minimum of 4 players at all times? WTF?

This was a good win but it was bittersweet for me. As some of you know in past years every time the Bucks scored my dogs received a treat. Two weeks ago we lost one of our dogs, Brutus and now are down to two (Buckeye and Tressel). In the past after a Buckeye TD, I would scream Go Bucks and the dogs would rush over a give me a high five and then they would get a treat. As Williams was scoring the first TD, neither my wife nor I yelled and my wife broke down as we both realized that Brutus was not there to give the “paw five.” Rest In Peace, Brutus…we love you and miss you…

So sorry to hear this man. Maybe a new buddy can join the family soon and learn the glorious ways of the treats on gameday.

I assume it had to do with us down DB's I don't think we ever played the Nickle package they were talking about.
