tOSU 82 Michigan St 70

MSU shot 38% from the field, Bucks 53%...

MSU shot 14% from 3 pt land, Bucks 56%...

We had more TOs (15-10) and less rebounds (31-36) but MSU could not overcome such a terrible outing shooting the ball.

The guys ought to be feeling very good about their effort today.

Digger just called Thad "one of the best coaches in the country", then they all went into their "the Big Ten is terrible" routine. :ohwell:

Great win! I was getting a little worried after Diebler fouled on the 3 point attempt but they kept their cool.

If we win the Big-10 tournament, just how high of a seed can we realistically expect?

I'm guessing it doesn't get much better than a 7 seed.

Clark was talking a 6-7 after today's game. I think they've definitely stepped up from the 8-9 that people were projecting. Win the tourney, and I think that a 5 is not unrealistic.

Awesome win! I dare say this is the best game I've seen OSU play all season. The defensive breakdowns were minimal and the offensive execution was very, very good.
Couldn't agree more even if Fungo wrote the post. Turnovers were a little high in the first half but other than that not much to be critical about. They really banged on the boards (with the exception of a possession or two) more than they have done all year. If this team can play like this in the NCAA tournament we may see them in the sweet 16. The entire team has to keep the "Hill intensity" up for the entire game from here on out, just like they did here.

Funny how the 3 stooges just hype up Florida St saying how dangerous they will be in the tourney then they go and rag on the big ten saying how no one has any non conference wins. If my memory is correct the 9th place team in the big ten Northwestern beat Florida St.

I love the Buckeyes, and they played a terrific game today, but I really do not see them being any better than a 7-seed even if they win tomorrow. Lose, and I think an 8-seed is appropriate.

There was much evidence that the team is communicating better with one another than they have all season. Lots of talent out there.

who do we want? Purdue or Illinois?
I was just thinking the same thing. I think that I want the Illini. They don't have as many outside shooters as does Purdue and that, in the past, has always given has problems. The only problem with the boys from Champaign is that they have two big guys (Davis and Tisdale) which might give us matchup problems but overall, without Frazier, I think they would be the easier of the two.

We really played excellent perimeter defense today and I think that is one of the reasons Sparty missed so many shots. I won't give our defense credit for all of their three misses well we did play a lot better on the perimeter defensively and seemed to communicate much better.

It is good to see more guys getting playing time which I think really helps as the game wears on. Plus, we are getting some points from our big man which has not been the case during the season.

I sort of got tired, well I did get tired, of Nance constantly talking about MSU and what seed they were going to be as they were getting their asses kicked:biggrin2:
