tOSU 61, Purdue 65 (Final)

Turner looked out of control or even maybe out of gas for much of the game. Wonder if he's healthy or just gassed?
Buford...wow! What can you say about the kid but he is amazing to watch. Will be a big time star. I've seen many Buckeye games and I don't know if I can remember a player so young with such huge potential or smoothness. Just a remarkable athlete.
Guard play is still a weakness but the over all team play is much improved.
I'll like our chances against shooting/offensive teams in the NCAAs. The right defensive team will press our guards and kill us.
We got a shot at doing something in the big tournament.

You obviously didn't watch the game.

The officiating today was easily worth 10 points for Purdue, from the lost possessions, non-calls on ET getting mugged in the lane and phantom non-calls on the Over-the-back plays.....

When the officiating is that bad, SOMETHING has to be said.
I watched the game, I'm just not a whiner like you. Was it the officials that kept giving up offensive rebounds or kept leaving Moore open for three's? Have accountability, blaming the refs for a loss doesn't accomplish or change anything and in fact makes you less mentally tough because you just think it wasn't your fault that you lost when it was.

if you think the horrible reffing didn't play a significant part in Purdue winning this game, your last name is either Hightower or you are as blind as they are.

Was it the officials that only called 2 fouls on Purdue in the first half? Was it the officials that were allowing guys like Hill to be jumped over for rebounds, Dallas and ET and Deibs to be held when attempting to rebound the ball? Hmmmmm.....sure Ohio State gave up their share of offensive rebounds, but it's easy to rebound when you have a blocking back and are practicing your UFC grappling underneath the basket :roll2:

And the worst part is NOTHING is going to change.

Enough with the name-calling, eh?

what if you are in position for a defensive rebound, and get motored over? In a 1 possesion game.

That "tie-up" on Dallas was one of the most ridiculous calls I've ever seen in my life. I couldn't believe it wasn't Hightower calling that one. I mean, the defender slapped the ball. He didn't even have his hand on it for one full second. However, I said when they weren't up by 5-10 with about 8 minutes left that they didn't have a chance unless PU stopped scoring. Always need some cushion with this crew. Congrats on a great reg season and Big 10 tourney Bucks!! Time to do a little dancing!
What was ridiculous was that Dallas held the ball out like a loaf of bread right in front of the Purdue players face like he didn't even realize he was there. He invited that call and got what he deserved for being careless with the ball. By definition it was the right call anyway, the Purdue player had two hands on the ball.

How many possessions were in the game before that where we made mistakes? Correct me if I'm wrong but we still had a chance to get the stop and left a guy wide open for a three. Quit whining.

But that is my point, and the reason I hate your argument. We played our asses off to even be in a position to win the game. If you're in position to get a rebound that will give your team a chance to tie or take the lead, and you get plowed over giving up an offensive rebound and the opposing team a huge advantage, then what?? PJ did everything he was supposed to do on that play, and was run over.....

I see nothing wrong with pointing that out, and if you don't think Thad is doing the same thing, again you are crazy. That play has already been cut from the game-tape and on the way to the Big 10 office....
