tOSU 61, Purdue 65 (Final)

when you watch this it puts athletics in another light, IMO. Why not just say, whoever catches the most breaks throughout the tournament from officials has the best chance of winning?

Evan gets zero calls all day on both ends....the guy gets mauled all day under the hoop defensively going for rebounds, and can't get a call on the other end going to the hoop.

Hummel goes over the back on PJ clearly, with no call.

Just frustrating. Again, put 2 even teams on the court, ask the officials how they're going to call the game, and just put it in the books. Why even play?

This goes towards FSU - Duke today too. It's just less about the players and more about what is allowed, not allowed.

Let the record show that while Hightower was his usual bad self, the other ref who was on the baseline during the 2nd half might have done the worst job of officiating I think i've ever seen....absolutely horrifically pathetic.

He was the guy who was on teh baseline for ALL of the ET non-calls...
Exactly, I actually forgot Hightower was calling the game for most of the 2nd half. That clown was ridiculous. Like I said, and maybe it's just because I've been watching more the past couple days than I have most of the season, officiating all over during these conference tourneys was an absolute joke. Something needs to be done. Way too many games are coming down to shoddy refereeing this postseason. Va Tech probably has the biggest grievance.

Great run, Bucks!

Purdue is a very dangerous team that is finally healthy. It's no coincidence they destroyed Illinois yesterday. Played a tough game and just couldn't buy a break today.

well mainly it revolves around how the refs are brought into the fold (mainly a bunch of them are insurance agents, former athletes and people with connections to other people in the process).....

Add to that the idiot in Indy (Brand) does not want to focus on that at all. If they can't focus on the product on the field (of which Football and Men's basketball makes them a HEAP of money), there is a problem.

Their coach has the perfect punching face! I'd like to smash his nose in right now.

Turning point of the game:

Evan Turner drives the hoop and scores but gets called for a charge underneath the basket. 3rd foul on him instead of Bucks tied and 3rd foul on Hummel. Turner sits out and the Boilers go on a huge run. Thank you Ed Hightower and 3 blind mice. Fuckass!

Turner's second foul only occurred because they allowed Calasan to shove Diebler out of the way to get a rebound.

So, is Purdue the new Kentucky of officiating grace?

They could ge 7,000 calls in a row and not apporach the only member of the Mt. Everest of officiating teabagdom, Duke...

Not to say this wasn't a glorified mugging by Purdue in the 2nd half today, which it clearly was. Only good thing is, well, there were no good things, except to say we overcame a lot and still almost won, so I like us to make a run in the tourney.

Still it's great to be a Buckeye. Onto the Big Dance.

Exactly... good performance over the last few days... punch the tickte to the big dance... move the seed up a few notches... that's why we were here.

Congrats to purdue, officials or not, the played good D... and we're still playing... that's the important thing.
