I could care less about seeding. You have to beat good teams no matter what seed you are in the tournament. This team baffles the (mark may) out of me.

Yep. I think they'll still get a 2 seed, but it doesn't really matter if they can't hit any shots. Buford just becomes nonexistent in most big games. This team isn't going to beat more than 2 teams in the tournament if they only have 2 guys that can score double digits. I just don't understand what some of these guys have going through their heads during a game.

Exactly.

If you line up against Wichita State and turn the ball over and fall asleep on defense, you're going to get dropped.

The baffles part is especially true - this is the ultimate two face team. They can play as poorly as this and as well as they did against Duke. Baffles and frustrates - this team could go the final four or lose in the second round and I would not be surprised either way.

TSUN got called for more fouls and the free-throw count was almost the same (15-to-14 OSU).

It was turnovers and points off of turnovers. Every other stat was the similar.

When your senior leader goes 3-for-12 one weekend and 2-for-12 last weekend, you have problems. Maybe he's not a leader (for starters).

Number of fouls called is not a valid argument in support of correct or fair officiating. In this case all it means is that M*ch*g*n fouled so much that it took home cookin' and incompetence just to make the ledger appear balanced.

Yes, the team played poorly. In no sport though do you forfeit your right to fairness just because you can't make an open shot.

Don't take it from me though - Jay Bilas, a straight shooter, fair commentator and consensus best in the biz was calling out missed calls that hampered the Buckeyes throughout the game. I reserve the right to be just as upset about that as I do about how poorly the team executed in the face of it.

Agree with Williams I thought he looked great out there and think a lineup of Williams, Ravenel, Thomas, Smith Jr, and Craft could be very effective.

I thought he played really well @ Kanas & then he vanished from the court after that.

Ross

Honestly outside of Buford he's the only one that resembles any kind of perimeter scoring threat. That's what were lacking to begin with , But it's painfully obvious with the play of Buford.

I hope Thad isn't telling the team they got screwed by the officials..they whine enough as it is to the officials..Buford seems to have gotten a free pass from Thad if Seibert jacks up a wild shot he doesn't play for a week. How can it hurt to put WB on the bench for a while when he is out of synch?

This team REALLY misses guys like Lighty and Diebs...huge holes left that have not been close to filled on a consistent enough basis.

It could definitely use a shooter and leadership. I don't know where the leadership is coming from because it's not Buford.

If Buford is the outside shooter heading into March, my confidence is waning.

Michigan shot their average amount of FT's for a game. We shot 8 below our average. Refs didn't decide the game, but they are a part of it. We had way to many turnovers, Buford had a terrible game overall and if not for an amazing game from Thomas, we would have been in big trouble.

This team, however, has a lot of improving to do if it wants to get beyond the Sweet 16. And it mostly begins with William Bufford. If he doesn't get it together, I can see this team having a short tournament.
Hate to say it, but the way this team has played lately, I'm concerned they even make it to the Sweet 16. They look like a 3 or 4 seed that is ripe for a second round upset. They don't gel on offense, make waaay too many mental mistakes, and the senior leader pulls his best LeBron immitation far too often when the pressure is on.
