tOSU -1.5 at Wisconsin (ov/un 122.5) Sat 2 ET, ESPN

well, yeah...
The videos show that it is very unlikely that it happened when he was walking past the Per Mar rope blockade. So yeah, IF it happened, it was on the court.

Though you probably are somewhat familiar with the Badger board, here's a link to Wiscy's take on the whole thing:
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=193&f=2565&t=7190376

Aside from the few jokes in the thread and some of the a$$holes that post on the site, they do bring up a points on how skeptical Sullinger's claims can be.
Although I don't post there, I read the bored a lot for recruiting information and game analysis. Sometimes I have to read a handful of posts before I find something actually worthwhile. But then again you can say that about a lot of these internet boards.

Until the Athletic Department has their final analysis, we won't know for sure.
I'm confident that if the Athletic Department finds something, there will be consequences.

Those videos basically allow you to conclude nothing either way. However, in the first video, Sullinger is walking looking straight ahead and then at :36 or :37 in the video, he abruptly turns to his right. Does that mean he was definitely spit on? No, but it's a reaction that would be consistent with being spit on. I know you don't want to believe it happened (more than clearly shown by your various posts here, including this one in which you capitalized "if" when you say "if it happened"), but I'm not aware of anything in Sullinger's past that would lead me in any way to conclude that he's lying about this, as you've been suggesting.

On a different note, the first thing I heard on espin after the game was "there is going to be a new number one". Now I know it is common practice to drop a recently defeated team down a few notches in college basketball, at least underneath teams with a better record. But since nobody has a better record than tOSU right now, why would they automatically assume that nobody would still vote us number one. espin could barely contain their hard on for seeing us lose, but we shall see what the polls say.

Not only that, we lost on the road in one of the toughest places to play AND it took an act of God himself to get Wisconsin that win. It wasn't like Wisconsin found a flaw in our game or anything. It literally took them one of the best shooting performances of the year to beat us by four.

I think it sucks that a lot of people are still talking about this incident. It's not like anyone was beat up. So maybe someone got spit on, big deal. I honestly don't think that's as bad as when they were chanting, "Diebler Swallows" or "Fuck the Buckeyes." Pretty embarrassing.

As much as I hate Duke Basketball, their fans are what other fanbases, including ours, should shoot towards. You rarely see anything terrible (other than an occasional dude dancing like an idiot in a speedo) directed towards other teams and what not.

Those videos were posted on the badger board,
They were just trying to analyze things. They tried... I'd just thought you'd be somewhat interested in their train of thought...

Oh and also:

For whats its worth, not sure if its gonna convince any of you guys....

Also I was on the fence about about the issue (until Bo's statement came out, as for now I'll be a skeptic,) both situations logically seem like they could happen.
Go to the Wisconsin board, and if you ignore the standard internet forum bullcrap, they do bring up a couple of good points.

Regardless if it happened or not, this whole situation (the swallows thing too) really makes you take a step back and review fan etiquette and being able to "think before you do things."

I hope this all gets resolved. Although it lookes like our athletic department is done looking into this, if there really was a fan douchey enough to do such I think, I hope that Barry not only finds him but bans him from anything that involves the Badgers while Biddy (our chancellor) expels him from the campus...

Looks like ESPN has an article up about it now.

Well, with that, I think I'm gonna head out. All I really came here was to see that if you had torrents of your basketball games alongside your football games. But I was wrong....

Actually I did find a download for a Standard Definition version of the broadcast and probably will look and see if I can see anything suspicious.

Good luck with the rest of your season, and hopefully it will be another good game in March. I can only pray though, I'm predicting a beat down.

The game was a good one but I just want to comment on how terrible the reffing in the big ten has gotten. It was downright atrocious both ways. While MSU fans might cmplain about the foul shot disparity it's not that that was the issue. The issue was that they were calling far too many ticky tack fouls while letting numorous obvious fouls go. Sullinger once once again hacked, grabbed, pushed, pulled, slapped and even elbowed in the face with very little in the way of calls and it seems to be getting worse with each game which is worrying me. However not only that but both teams got away with obvious moving screens and we got away with a lot of body contact on hedging on the balls screens. MSU also got away with some obvious pushoffs on cuts to the basket. It was a downright abysmal officiating job all around. Calling fouls for beathing or slight handchecking guys while letting all that go. That's not even getting into the numerious travels both teams got away with at times.

Eh, that's one way to look at it. Another way is to see that they're a beast to beat at home and are a good, but not great, team away from home. They're a perpetual underachiever in the NCAA tournament under Ryan.
I don't get it. You don't want to give them credit for being a good team, yet say they underachieve come tournament time? If they really aren't all that good, I don't see how they can underachieve.

it appears that scheduling will be in our favor for the return trip against wisky. the badgers play at indiana just three days before the final regular season game. the buckeyes get five days of rest and preparation.
I say we schedule them for a 5:30 AM shootaround.
