tOSU +1.5 at Purdue (ov/un 135.5) Sun 1 ET, CBS

Again, we've had both extremes.

We played our best and they played their worst, it was never ever close.

We played our worse and they played their best, we were down four with minutes left.

Today, they were better though. Overall, we are still the best team in the Big Ten.

Opponents know the strength of this team is our wing-play...
that is everything. opposing teams should play sully straight-up but double- or triple-down when he gets too low. otherwise, the key to beating ohio state is limiting deep shots. our game would open up if craft returns to being consistent behind the arc. he's 1/8 for the last 5 games. i don't think craft is a liability unless he's a dud from deep. he also needs a pull-up jumper. he too often drives all the way to the blocks with no real plan.

The lack of depth is gona kill us in the end.I don't understand how you expect Sullinger 6 ft 9 to go against other teams centers that will be taller once past the first few rounds. If he is in foul trouble who is gona replace him because lauderdale is 6 ft 8 not a center.

This osu basketball team is way overrated, they can't even make their own shot. They lack size, depth and skill. The tallest player in the rotation is 6 ft 9 Sullinger.Sorry as much as I like Ohio st this is a one and done team.

Great post. I agree. They will be the first #1 seed to lose in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. :highfive:

Thanks for your opinion and my opinion is Bob Knight you are not....
How foolish are you to say that they are one and done...may not make the Final Four but they are not one and done...
One of the most ignorant comments I have seen on this board...
Don't feed the troll. Arguing with the mentally impaired is an exercise in futility.

This team is similar to a typical Villanova undersized team.

5 posts. Congrats.

Maybe we can get this guy a red smiley or two before he gets his final post in.

Those are areas that can hurt a team, but overrated? No sir. You're frustrated and so am I. The 2 teams that beat us had to play lights out, not to mention, Moore and Taylor both played games they'll probably never play again. That speaks volumes on how much respect we get and everybody wants to play their best game against us. If we were bad, that wouldnt happen. Come tournament time, these boys will figure out what they need to do and I predict a good run in the tourney.

You play them ten times and frickin' Moore does not hit 38 again. Losing a close one when you play sloppy and their guy is unconscious is not cause for chicken little impersonations. Winning on the road in-conference is always tough, no matter how good you are.

Coach will use the loss to keep them grounded mentally as tournament time approaches.
the issue with our team, though, is meaningful depth. the goal for our team should be no less than the final four. i'm not claiming that all will be failure if we don't get that far; however, we will struggle to get that far because we will likely have at least one game before the semifinals when sully and one key wing are in early foul trouble. furthermore, the second games of each weekend pose as a bear.

if sloppiness were an aberration with an unknown cause, then mistakes would be less unsettling. unfortunately, i think our sloppiness is the direct result of physical and mental exhaustion.

we will learn a lot about our team during the final two weeks of regular season play. we will especially learn a lot on tuesday. we have just over 48 hours of rest, which is just what we'll get in the tournament.
