We deserved to lose no doubt.

But if you do not think the officials had a negative influence on the game, then I do not know what to tell you.

We did not lose because of the officiating, but it put us in a tougher spot.
Then you don't what to tell me. I'm not the type to cop out and blame the refs. They got called for plenty of fouls too.

Wiscy was worse. We had our knee on their throat and then they just went insane hitting everything. I can take losing a relatively close game despite horrific play. The Wiscy game stung.

Wisky was tough thats for sure, but the officiating today was the worst I have ever seen.

I know I am coming off as a crybaby, but on our end of the court we make a great block thats all ball and its a foul, on the other end they rape Diebler and its a clean play.

They could have easily called over the back on 2 possessions in the last few minutes, they both ended in Purdue 3-pointers.

Seems like it was a fairly formulaic juggernaut toppling today.

Lighty struggles, the offense is forced through Sully.

Sully gets triple teamed much of the game, turnovers abound.

Player for the opposition has game of his career.

Luckily for us this game doesn't hurt us much at all.

i think we had less control of our destiny in the final 13 minutes of the wisconsin game than we had in the final 35 minutes of today's game. few teams would have survived the barrage in madison, regardless of having a 15-point lead. we were hapless today. the unforced errors were countless and unsettling.

38 freaking points for Moore. Insane.

You play them ten times and frickin' Moore does not hit 38 again. Losing a close one when you play sloppy and their guy is unconscious is not cause for chicken little impersonations. Winning on the road in-conference is always tough, no matter how good you are.

Coach will use the loss to keep them grounded mentally as tournament time approaches.

Home court and Moore - take Moore out of the game and we win big. They played a good game, we didn't.

This. Tough to watch...Lighty, Buford, Thomas and Lauderdale all played terribly. Craft had a good game and Sullinger was spectacular. Completely uncharacteristic but we'll be fine...take out the crowd in the tourney and the low likelihood that someone goes Moore/Taylor on us again (2 nearly unhuman performances), and I like our odds.

Buford got away with a huge double-dribble on his throw ahead pass to Sullinger to cut the lead to 4 so I'm not going to complain about the officiating. Craft was also allowed to play really physical when a lot of refs would not have.

But this is 5 pretty bad halves in a row for the Buckeyes. They gave the game away in Madison, they sleepwalked through a dismantled Michigan State team, and just got handled by Purdue.

There's a lot of cause for concern right now and I think a book is out on how to beat this team.

-Ball pressure on Diebler is killing the flow of the offense
-Our defense on the high post continues to expose us...last week Michigan State high-lowed all game for easy points. Today our help defense was really poor as our bigs chased their guys around the perimeter.
-Teams are over-playing our wings to force Craft into becoming a play-maker

And what's up with Sullinger breaking the backboard on lay-up attempts? I think 3 times today he went up for a lay-up and overpowered it off the glass. For such a nice touch normally, his finesse around the rim was the equivalent of Ben Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall today.

If by chance these two teams cross paths in the NCAA tourney...neutral court and ooc refs... That would be a great rubber match. I know they may see each other in the Big Ten Tourney too but these Big Ten refs are just way too fucking inconsistent. Great job by Purdue to defend their home court and all.

But the Bucks will win the rematch. Guaranteed.

I have been saying for years. It is time for the NCAA to either move the 3 point line back, or just get rid of it. I cant stand watching players just stand back there and jack up 3s. Moore shot 70% today from 3!
C'mon. If it was that freaking easy then Lightey would have done it too. Moore just had one of those unconscious days. Happens.

If we see them again in the BTT or the real tourney, I don't see them doing us in again. They shot 50%, we shot 35%. Diebler, Lighty, Buford, Lauderdale played some of the worst games I've seen them play, yet we were still in it until the last minute. Meanwhile, on the other end, E'Twan Moore plays the game of his lifetime. The play at the end, he bobbled the ball, regained possession, and hoisted it up for 3... It went it. Stuff like that doesn't happen twice. Plus we wouldn't be playing in their house.

Bad loss, but it shouldn't hurt us much. Take care of business the last few games and we'll be fine.
