In 14 years as a coach, he's made it past the sweet 16 once (hell, he's only advanced to the sweet-16 three times), and that was a decade ago with a transcendant player in Dwyane Wade.

In fairness to Crean, the "blow by" hand shakes are a defense mechanism.

He knows from past experience that if he stops to speak to the opposing coach it will end with a mouth on mouth kiss - and that has never ended well.

That was as bad a job of coaching as I have seen in awhile. IU was totally unprepared for the Cuse zone and never made any half court adjustments to execute better. I only catch some IU games, but Zeller seems much less of a great player then he did at the beginning of the year.

IU can crush teams that they "out talent", but when they run into teams with good players that can slow the game down, they have problems.

I guess that's one of the problems I have with Crean is that he did not adjust his game plan. It does not matter how quickly you get the ball up the court, like a Chinese fire drill, which Indiana did all last night and they turned the ball over a number of times doing so and there was no need to rush the ball up the court. When you are playing against Syracuse, you need to be patient and Indiana certainly was not but they did get the ball up the court fast:shake:
