Doubtful about the canning--Mullen's (and Herman, in one year, has) done more in the last three years than Richt has.

I assumed Kirby Smart would have been the #1 target. Herman will be interesting in that scenario with his Texas recruiting ties. Might have some tough battles w/LSU on that front.

Regarding Mullen, I think it's at least fair to say that he has made Miss St. relavent in an otherwise unrelavent program. Not fair to compare the opportunities for success btwn Georgia and Miss St. considering the history of each program and the opportunities to grab depth on the roster.

Will be fun to watch Georgia run Urban's offense as opposed to their traditional pro style attack. Chubb will do well in that role assuming his injury doesn't set him back too much.

Herman's excellent year in the AAC doesn't surpass what Richt built.

I can understand the respect for Richt and how he ran the program; I'm just not sure there's any reason to pine for wanting this marriage to go on another day. It's been 15 years ... 10 since he last won the conference, and Georgia has only really been relevant in the national title picture into November about three times in his tenure IIRC (2002, 2008, and 2012).

Great coach, but I don't see him being the guy to lead you to the promised land. Time to move on.
