From Facebook group "I'm Smarter Than Tim Tebow," created by an FSU student.

"Tim Tebow is the posterboy for the University of Florida Athletic department. The television ad "Go Gators" implies that the Gator Nation is full of intelligent, scholarly students.

What you may not know is that Tebow is far from intelligent. The University of Florida accepted Tebow, who was home-schooled and had an 890 SAT score (equivalent to ACT score of 18) and gave him a full-ride scholarship to boot!

Since UF's minimum "required" SAT score is 970 (along with every other University in Florida), it is safe to say that EVERY University student in Florida is smarter than Tim Tebow! Yay for us!"

Either this is true, or you have to tell me why not, even though you think it to be true at UF.

I'm not trying to take a shot at UF, i'm saying thats just how it is for big time college programs. It doesn't matter what school it is, celebrity football/basketball players are going to get preferential treatment in the classroom, along with a slew of personal tutors for any class they need....

Besides, I don't see anybody trying to pass Troy off as a world scholar. People love Troy for his attitude, leadership, and passion that he brought to tOSU, not because they think he is the most intelligent human being to ever put on a football helmet.

Tebow probably took the SATs about 5 years ago, wasn't a perfect score still 1600 back then and not the new scoring system with 2400 being perfect? 890 out of 1500 would still be below average, but not the epic fail of 2%.

890 out of 1600 is still f***ing pathetic. (no offense to anyone whos gotten an 890 or lower, even though you probably didnt understand that last sentence, or this one.)

Tebow's a good kid, so we don't bust his chops too hard.

That being said, should any photoshop junkies care to transpose the smiling visages of St. Tebow and Pope Urban onto the poster for Radio, I wouldn't take offense.

The headline makes an assumption about the likely content.

CBS urged to scrap anti-abortion Super Bowl ad featuring Tebow

NEW YORK (AP) -- A coalition of women's groups called on the CBS network on Monday to scrap its plan to broadcast an ad during the Super Bowl featuring college football star Tim Tebow and his mother, which critics say is likely to convey an anti-abortion message.

The ad -- paid for by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family -- is expected to recount the story of Pam Tebow's pregnancy in 1987 with a theme of "Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life." After getting sick during a mission trip to the Philippines, she ignored a recommendation by doctors to abort her fifth child and gave birth to Tim, who went on to win the 2007 Heisman Trophy while helping his Florida team to two college football championships.

The New York-based Women's Media Center was coordinating the protest with backing from the National Organization for Women, the Feminist Majority and other groups.

Cont'd ...

And make sure to change the title on the poster from "Radio" to "Tebow"...

Todd McShay said Tebow's first day of practice was "close to a disaster for Tim Tebow as a passer", "sailing passes", "short-hopped two passes", "bobbled 3 snaps under center, including 2 in a row".

But since McShay doesn't like his chances, perhaps there is some hope for Tebow as a QB after all.

Tebow scored an 890 as a freshmen in HS, when he was a freshmen it would have been out of 1600. When he was the proper age to take the test it would have been out of 2400 (Tebow is the same age as me)

He's lost the kid gloves treatment we give to college athletes.

He's a pro now (if nothing else the faguars will draft him just to sell tickets) and is open to as much flak as Mike Vick, Braylon Edwards or anyone else.

As much flack?? When he strangles some dogs maybe. Flack? Yes. As much as Vick? I think not.
