Tim Tebow's Shoe With Magical Heavenly Ascension Module

tebow-420-72010.jpg

Before Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow even takes an NFL snap, he already has a shoe.

Tebow's shoe -- doubtless to make His father happy -- is set for release in conjunction with EA Sports College Football 2011. The sneaker is a blue and orange cross-trainer, Bronco and Gator colors, with "PROMISE September 28, 2008" written on the back right heel.

The quote is a reference to Tebow's famous promise speech made in the wake of Florida's home loss to Ole Miss. That was the Gators only setback in a season that ended with Florida claiming the national title over Oklahoma. The left heel features a series of years: the year Tebow won a Heisman, 2007, and the two years he won national titles, 2007 and 2009.

The anti-Tebow zealots among us, and there are a ton, immediately rolled their eyes, cursed and thanked God that Alabama fans are already photoshopping the cover of his Electronic Arts video game to show Tebow crying. After all, no third-string quarterback in NFL history has ever entered the league with his own shoe, right?

In fact, when you get right down to it, is there any way that Tebow deserves a shoe deal?

I think the answer is undoubtedly yes, and I'll tell you why.

But before we dive in to prove that Tebow deserves his own shoe, it's worth asking whether Tebow is playing down his religiosity to increase his national profile.

Why do I ask this?

I expected to see a Bible verse somewhere on the shoes. And, barring that, certainly expected to see one on the NCAA Football 2011 cover.

That is one butt-ugly shoe, but the promise bull[censored] on the heel really makes me want to puke.
Yes. And your now puke ridden, dehydrated body will not be able to compete with Tim's magnificent Gatorade powered physique on the field of battle....in accordance with the prophesy.
