hmmmmm usually I'm on page with you, but I see nothing based on the routes we run that would lead me to believe he can coach WRs any better than he can run an offense. It would be on helva demotion and I don't think we wanna pay $500k+ for a recruiter. I could see Z Smith possibly shifted into that position then maybe Beck comes in and coaches WR?
Well this is based on he fact he was a WR coach when Kansas wasn't a dumpster fire. Not much to go on but the dude has killed on the recruiting trail and any change with him COULD have ripple affects with Jones ('18 QB) or other recruitshmmmmm usually I'm on page with you, but I see nothing based on the routes we run that would lead me to believe he can coach WRs any better than he can run an offense.
I agree, I think we have to weigh current recruits against future recruits. My concern is that I could see Jones reopening his recruitment after last night. One thing is for certain, he is no QB whisperer...Well this is based on he fact he was a WR coach when Kansas wasn't a dumpster fire. Tell Beck he can keep making a half mil a year doing recruiting only (and carrying shine boxes) and that he is free to look for other employment at his leisure. Getting stonewalled by fucking Sparty and two shit-bomb performances against solid defense in scUM and Clemson shows he just isn't an OC.It would be on helva demotion and I don't think we wanna pay $500k+ for a recruiter. I get what you're saying, and I agree, Beck has value as a recruiter. If he could stay on in that capacity ONLY, he's worth keeping around. But if his recruiting comes at the cost of the offense's production, what good are recruits like Jones, anyway. Players come and go, but coaches are your continuity. He cannot have any input on gameplanning, QB coaching, or playcalling going forward. The offense this year was mostly awful against any defense with a pulse. Wasnt much better last year with a lineup full of NFL draft picks. Take away BG, Nebraska, Rutgers, and Maryland and it was far below average. There's too much talent here for that to be the case.I Not much to go on but the dude has killed on the recruiting trail and any change with him COULD have ripple affects with Jones ('18 QB) or other recruits
No fucking way I let him near my shoes.Tell Beck he can keep making a half mil a year doing recruiting only (and carrying shine boxes) and that he is free to look for other employment at his leisure. This is painful watching, fellas. Much love to whoever that was firing away from his right. Does this sound like a guy who has any idea how to fix this offense?
(paraphasing my new favorite media guy)
"what does that even mean?"
"you were better this year? how? why?"
"tell us if this is wrong - seems like JT's less confident/consistent than he was in 2014, before you were here. correct or incorrect statement?"

Now, I have to self-moderate.
