Update to the update

Cleared for competition on the 15th. Started the opener yesterday (meant a lot to him since he's a senior) and went 4+ only allowing 1 earned. Not bad for 5 months off ACL surgery. My young man has worked his ass off.

Sorry. I shouldn't make light of that. You should be proud.

My 17 year old step-son is currently in the three-season room watching Impractical Jokers and smoking his $400 paycheck from Raising Cane's while pretending he's not actually high as a fucking kite right now.

... like he and his friends fucking invented juvenile delinquency.

update to the update to the errrr whatever:

Hes into his second month up at Owens CC and he loves it. Battling some intermittent elbow tenderness (probably bc of how fast he came back to full participation after the knee surgery) so that has been frustrating. But before that he had pitched pretty well so far this fall. Just had Parents Weekend and it was a blast to see him as a college student. Watched the OSU/psu game at his apt with about 5 of his teammates so that was fun. Girls had fun seeing their big Brother and the wife had fun bc we were away from home at a hotel.

My daughter got married that day. Yes, she picked a fall Saturday, but at least made it the Tulane game.

I was in the back of the church in Chicago waiting to walk her up the aisle, and when the doors opened, I shit you not, I could hear "Hang on, Sloopy" coming from a Buckeye bar just a couple hundred feet away. I stayed away from the bar and never checked the score until after 10 p.m. I was very glad it was the Tulane game.
