Need to make a decision fairly soon, as one of my cheif objectives would be to get the BCS Championship games in HD.

Anyone able to give me some imput? Hidden pricing? Problems? Advantages? Etc.

It'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BKB,

pm buckeyefool. He just switched from Time Warner to WOW and is thoroughly impressed.

Said customer service is 100% better.

Said when he moved that Time Warner gave him an 8 hour window of when they would show up in about 20 days and he called WOW and they gave him a 2 hour window like the next day or the day after.

If you add the NFL Network you pick up that Rutgers bowl game.

And don't forget about ESPNU.

But we all know that for you, it's really all about the Porn channels.

WOW does have the NFL Network, but they block the NFL games at this point. I'm not sure if that will be changing in the future.

No ESPNU either, at least not on the standard digital plan.

And I have no idea about the WOW porn channels. I really don't. I wouldn't even now how to order it. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I've never had any serious problems with WOW.

i had it cable was fine. i had them out twice to work on the internet as it sucked and they claimed no problems and charged me both times. i made a phone call and asked to speak to a manager and he pissed me off so i switched back to tw. tv wise pretty much the same, but wow was cheaper. the internet thing and the fact they said it was my computer, which has worked all over the lower 48 with out a single problem and works now with roadrunner.

I'm not really the actual Abraham Lincoln, you see. It's just something I do on here. That guy's dead, got shot.

:slappy: Tis true, I have the encyclopedia to prove it.

By the way, what speed internet do you guys carry with WOW? I'm contemplating the switch (I hate TW), but am not sure what speeds I'll need for the net. I hate it when porn takes a while to download. :paranoid:

From the research I've done, you can choose from 112Kbps, 4Mbps, 6Mpbs (500Kbps Upload) and 6Mbps (with 1Mbps upload)

Time Warner's claim is 5Mbps, and you can get up to 8Mbps I guess.. But, I think the highest any individual user actually recieves is closer to 3Mbps Download speed (not sure of the up speed)

WOW's web site says 4Mbps is "standard" for causual non-gamers.

If I switch, I'm shootin for 6 though.
