unwilling to climb to the top of yoru roof to clean the snow off your sat dish...
i bet youre a fan of no touch icing also...

My ladder's only 24 feet, which still puts my fat ass at least 10 feet from the dish. If the signal came from the southeast I'd be set.
Is no touch icing like a pearl necklace without hands? I'm all for that.

As the starter of this thread, I think you should all know, I'm switchin to Uverse. Better HD line-up, faster internet (though I could pay more at WOW and be faster than I am now), same phone for 16 bucks a month cheaper.

Yay me!

Your also not losing 16 channels or so at midnihgt tonight, hopefully I'll go on an epic binge here and by the time I sober up I'll have those channels will be back.

I have a clear view of the south, but not the southwest where DirecTV's signal comes from. They could have put the dish on the very top of my house, but then I wouldn't be able to clean it off in case it got caked with snow. A friend at work said he called Dish and they point the same direction which means they are out to. I'm planning on finishing my basement in the next year which would bring me up to 6 TV's and make either satellite provider that much more expensive.
I'm sure TW will work this out with Viacom the same way they do for everything else. They just like to wait at least until the last minute.

I've never had a problem with snow caking into my dish at all, even in the blizzard last year I never had a problem.

And the direction of the satellite is something like 210 degrees.

Well, I haven't switched yet.... scheduled to get the new service on the 12th.

Edit: Ah.... never mind... I see that's a TW problem.

UVerse is awesome. A couple folks in my family have it and it's great. The HD line up is unreal compared to time warner

So I think it is hilarious that TW has said they won't add NFL network because it is a niche, and they feel that people should pay extra for it on a higher teir. and same reason they drug their feet to add BTN and ESPNU. however they had no problem adding MLB's new station to their lineup on its first day........ohh wait TW is an investor in MLB's station, hmmmm interesting how that works.
