These football players aren't kids: they're adults. They don't need their parents there to chaperone them like when they were in peewee leagues and even HS. I just don't understand the expectation that parents/family should be able to tag along for free on these bowl trips they have earned as part of a college team. It's a slippery slope from allowing some private donor to fund their families' travel... to getting dad's struggling church back in the black, or having a summer "internship" with the Galbreaths.

No one has a problem with college coaches making up to $9M per year but if a kid takes $12 for autographing his own name, he's the devil.
Ok Annie. You can have your kid autograph stuff for money but you're on the hook for his tuition, room and board. Fair trade? Better hope your son is a star player and people want his autograph. Those coaches are getting paid that money to help your son try to make a career in football!!!!
