What I don't understand is why it took the hoard breaking through the fence for them to get out the M-16's and blow them all away. Why didn't they do that weeks ago?

still a great episode though.

Actually, it doesn't make sense to go on a shooting spree to control that situation. Preventive measures make more sense.
Pied Piper the masses away from the prison to say, a river or a open mine pit . But, of course it makes for better TV to have a video game like shoot 'em up. And a lot of the zombie build up could be attributed to the Governor, perhaps.

I actually thought this episode was the best of the new year so far, which isn't saying a lot...some things were still WTF. I mean I like the new ways to have zombies fucked up every week, but having the dogs on the guy at the beginning while Rick drove by seemed, well, a bit egregious  I think they actually did some good things with the hemorrhagic fever, though that seems to be coming to an end with the Governor coming back. Wondering what they'll do to start that off. Will he attack Michonne and Herschel, who are on their ay out with some bodies in that cart thingy? Will the little completely disturbed girl who was feeding the walkers let him in because he was "nice", a la Axe Murderer Santa in the Tales from the Crypt episode? Will he just start shooting fuckers? Or will he go all Vicksburg and try and send more and more crap at them while they are stuck in the prison as a war of attrition? Some interesting possibilities...of course they could fuck it all up too

One of my favorite episodes, definitely creepy. I think it was a redo of a Hitchcock classic if I remember. I could see them going this route, that little girl has some issues and is trusting.

A little late to the party but great episode. I really like the whole flu story arch, kind of bummed to see the governor return...I was not thrilled with that whole deal last season. The father-son assault rifle scene was pretty sick though.

Great episode again tonight. It was nice to get a break from the prison. I'm sure we're all suppose to hate the Governor, but I came away from this episode starting to like him. But as it was ending, I thought for sure he was going to turn his back on those women and leave them for dead and take the kid. But I guess people change?
