The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Considering my baser instincts generally prevail over a woman's rationale and usefulness in a world not in a state of zombie apocalypse, I am fairly certain I would be trying to knock Lauri up too in such an apocalyptic world.

I do see your point though...I think they are screwing up her character so bad. She is supposed to be confused and conflicted. Instead, she makes incredibly stupid decisions, contradicts herself, and is perpetually hypocritical. "Rick, why would you not tell me Herschel doesn't want us on the farm? How could you keep that from me?" Oh idk...the same way you don't tell your husband about the baby in your belly and your abortion pills :roll2:

This is my point...a woman doesn't have to be a supermodel to be hot...ESPECIALLY in an apocalypse. This woman/character could easily be a lot more believable as desirable, but they've taken to make her as mind-numblingly annoying as humanly possible, to the point where you are BEGGING a zombie to bite her or Shane to ice her. Given the importance of her character to the central narrative, that should not be the case.

It was a perfect episode coming out of the break. This series is not about Zombies, it's about the Survivors. I've now realized this. This episode did a great job of reintroducing everyone and making you realize there is more out there to deal with than just Walkers.

Rick is now the true badass. He makes Shane look like scared kid. COLD BLOODED SON. Loved the ending.

Having read the comics up to current I will say at least the show is sort of trying to get back on track. The comic makes it much more about the people you have to worry about, not the walkers. Through the comics, they move from place to place getting essentially killed off by other groups of survivors more than the walkers.

I'm finally caught up, and now don't need to avoid this thread like... well like zombies I guess.

After a quick read through I see many here shared my frustration with season 2...still a daaaamn good show though. Here's to a better season 3.

This half of the season is supposed to be wayyyy better. It already started good but apparently the first half of this season was supposed to set up the upcoming episodes. From now on, it should be "zombie-licious."

I know everyone has been critical of the show (me included), but I thought tonight was a pretty good episode and really sets up nicely for the "Final 4".

Agreed. Jo and I watched it tonight and were really pleased with the uptick in energy and, well, gore. It's not that we need it to be non-stop video game violence, but as I'm sure others have indicated earlier in this thread (I'm not read up) it's felt a little soapy this season.

I wish they had a dude like me on this show. My only line, repeated every episode would be "...go fuck yourself."...like grimey says "Hey, let's go run into town and save the only person that may end up putting up a fight against us staying in this zombie force fielded sanctuary"...cue my line..."...go fuck yourself" /scene

now, when they were fighting about whether or not to save this kid and the walkers were coming, hershel should have just capped him and said, the decision's been made.
