The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

The little girl being found a zombie was perhaps the most powerful moment in the shows 2 years. It was a gut punch.

By the time they got to it, Sophia almost had to be in the barn. In this world, it would be a miracle to find her alive after that much time, and they're in a zombie (sorry, "walker") apocalypse. Wasn't likely to end well.

I'd have had more of a gut punch if I hadn't spent a month-and-a-half yelling at the screen while the lost child's mother doodled around washing laundry, chatting, playing Martha Stewart-let's-cook-a-big-fancy-thank-you-dinner, etc.etc.etc.

Lady, your 12-year-old daughter is LOST. How's about YOU being a little pro-active and looking for her, say, maybe, without sleep and without ceasing? I've seen people put more frantic effort into looking for a lost TV remote. :roll2:

It would been out of "character" to have her go looking when she's clearly freaked out about zombies. Type cast. Weak, emotional female who is barely holding on to her sanity. Needs protected.

Unfortunately, the trailer (the long ComicCon version) for last October's return was way better than the actual season turned out to be. The thing I'm most scared of about the new season is that they'll irritate me as much as they did last time. I'll still check it out, tho'--hope springs eternal.

And, if I'm interpreting the scene in the other trailer on AMC, it looks like old Herschel's magical anti-zombie fence may have finally lost its mojo. well, duh.

Darryl pointing the gun down, saying "Sorry brother"...might we finally see Meryl? And Herschel saying "There is no hope, you know that now"...I'm pretty sure that Rick was told at the CDC by that researcher that there is now no cure, or somehow that there is no possible way of recovery. It would make sense for Rick not wanting to leave the farm and simply trying to avoid walkers. Oh and the number of zombies better increase...last season was pretty lackluster on that end.

Either way, I am pumped for this season!

as it goes forward, and the episode numbers increase, it will be hard to have hoards of Walkers every episode. But I agree, I hope there are more than last season

Why is that? There is CGI, and they have been using it in episodes already.

They just need to put more zombies in a show about the Zombie Apocalypse. Period.

Because CGI costs money and they've gutted the budget for the show...it's why the original creator dude left.

As the most watched drama on TV, wouldn't that budget get a little bigger? (no idea, honest question) Either way, I can't wait for this new episode to start. This half of the season looks to have a lot of promise. I think the first half was the calm before the storm. Now that the whole Sophia nonsense is over, it should get interesting.
