The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

I really liked it. The death at the end was pretty impactful coupled with Morgan's reaction. Plus I actually really liked the DeAnna's husband quite a bit and did not want to see him go. And Glenn, wtf are you thinking? He is way too pragmatic to do something that stupid...I almost wanted him to die for doing something stupid like that. But overall, I'm still intrigued.

Something must be mentally wrong -- or I'm a gun nut -- but for the past season or so (at least once an episode) I think to myself what kind of arsenal I'd carry if given a choice of any kind of weaponry (non-tank or Iron Man suit).

Blain's gun from "Predator" and a Hanzo Sword from "Kill Bill" always make the cut.

I'm glad they didn't kill off Glenn yet.

Herschel's magical never-empty shotgun would be a good choice. I still haven't watched the finale but the target practice chick has been pissing me off. Don't be wasting my fcuking ammo in a fcuking zombie world. They act like there's a never-ending supply.

That's why you gotta have a bow (I'd carry my Hoyt recurve, but a compound or cross would work). Perfect for ripping out the arrow and re-using.

Don't forget one guy shooting what looked to be a .500 Magnum with 9-12 rounds.

I really dug it....so F all you guys.
I'm with you. If you're looking for things to pick at, there's always going to be something wrong.

It was the highest rated episode in show history, to cap off the highest rated season in show history.

Gimple has taken the reigns and done a great job putting the show in a place to compliment and aggrandize the comics rather than side-step and bastardize them like his predecessors. There's a spin-off that's already been greenlighted for a second season and the main show has aligned itself in such a way that both comic fans and show fans have a lot of common ground to enjoy. It could be very easy to fuck it all up, horribly even, but every opportunity they had to do that this season they came through. I haven't anticipated each episode in a show like this in a long time. I'm excited for where it's going.

In review, I thought this season was pretty phenomenal overall. There were a couple meh episodes but if I try to hold everything to the Breaking Bad standard, I will never be happy. This is a very good show and this season has been particularly awesome imo.

Yeah even I have to admit this season was badass. Especially the 2nd half. Though clearly it wasn't done by the same people as previous seasons. I wasn't just trying to find something to bitch about. There were legit problems with the show. Thankfully, I gave it another shot and was rewarded by a serious step up their game season.

I finally watched it last night. Can anyone explain the deal with Sasha and the priest? None of that made any sense to me. Also, for the comic book guys, why are the Wolves hoarding pet zombies? Do they plan to drive the trailers into Alexandria or elsewhere and unload them?

I'm not in the know with any of this, but I'll throw in my 2 cents. I think Gabriel and Sasha are both bat shit crazy. She came to him hoping that a priest could help her get in a better state not realizing that he was nuts and thought they all needed to die. I think the ending with them and Maggie praying was those 2 getting their shit together.

I don't think the Wolves are hording zombies to take them someplace. It was a trap designed to catch people looking for food. I don't think the goal was to keep them alive, but have the zombies kill anyone that springs the trap. Probably with the goal of killing more people so there is less competition for resources. I'm guessing the Wolves didn't know about Alexandria before this episode, but they will find it now.
