I always thought it was silly to assume Boise gained an advantage by wearing blue jerseys on blue turf, but apparently the Mountain West agrees.

They'll have to wear white or orange tops for all their home games.

Does anyone else in the MWC wear blue jerseys? What if Boise chose to wear their road whites to a home game, making the visiting team wear their home blues? I'm sure Boise would never choose to do that, but would the MWC step in and tell the other team that THEY can't wear blues, either?

Air Force has blue as a school color.
TCU wil only play at Boise this year, and their purple is close to blue
Nevada joins next year, and they're dark blue.

Some other MTN-W team needs to have Nike develop a blue Pro combat jersey for a game in Boise. That would be hilarious to watch the home team bitch about it.

Boise State fires A.D. Bleymaier

Nothing says you're small-time like the fact that nobody seems to give a [Mark May] about this.

And of course, we're not going to hear a peep from Pat Forde about this.

I actually think it was a good decision by the University President. He's not going to let these problems escalate into an "SMU Type Situation" and thus acted early to prove the situation is under control. Or at least to give the appereance that it's under control.

Boise has ZERO pull in a conference expansion... they give you nothing besides a good football team... no academics, no tv footprint, no basketball, no non-rev success

good football team? Unless they're new conference mates don't mind playing a 40 week conference schedule to allow boyzee there normal 5 weeks to prepare for a big game...they'd be lucky to finish a regular SEC, B1G or Pac12 schedule 4-4.

I'd have said the same thing a few years back, but in the last decade they kicked the hell out of Georgia, Oregon, Oregon State and got by Oklahoma. Throw in how big and tough Wisconsin looked against TCU in the Rose Bowl, Indiana - Ball State, Minnie - New Mexico State, Purdue... well, you get my drift. Boise State could play through a Big 10 conference schedule and not lose more than one or two games. They could win the Big East or the ACC and they'd be a handful in the Pac 12.

No they couldn't.

Georgia will be lucky to finish above .500. Oregon has lost to every half way decent team they've played. Oregon St finished 5-7. And no a bowl upset half a decade ago isn't something a serious contender hangs their hat on.

As bad as Indiana has been they'd be a mid pack team in the WAC.

BSU in the B1G would be Northwestern level at best.
