This is EXACTLY why the "and one" system would ever work.

Think about '02. You gonna have tOSU and the U play again? Stupid idea to play another game against UM even if they are the 2nd best team.

USC is the team to beat for the #2 spot. We will not know who is the best because the B10 has not matched up against the PAC 10.

I change my mind! I want a rematch!

I've posted this elsewhere and I wanted to here.

All along for weeks now I've said that I DO NOT want a rematch. Even if we lose. I've personally felt that the winner deserves a chance to play another team and the loser had their shot and missed it. But I change my mind. After this:

I say BRING IT F___ING ON!!!!!!!!!! The only arguments made is that they feel the game would be different if there was the roughing the passer penalty along with the turf issues.

Trust me fellas. You do not want to go down that route. We were running on the same turf too. And we'd love a faster track.

You want to talk penalties on critical conversion downs? How about two questionable pass interference calls and A ROUGHING THE CENTER CALL??????? I'm sorry but if I'm the scUM center I should have to run around the field wearing womens underwear just for allowing that penalty to be accepted. "Sorry coach, we have to decline on the grounds that I'm a man". What about the no call pass interference on Troy's interception?

What about overturning an OSU interception because the bottom of the ball was sticking out of MJ's hands when he came down with it and it touched the ground? But when the scUM TE catches the same freaking pass on a critical down to put scUM in the red zone, nobody even considers the idea of reviewing it.

You want to pi$$ and moan about miscues? How about our best offensive lineman wearing a cast on his hand and giving Troy two bad snaps inside our 30 costing turnovers?

The way I see it, scUM got 10 points off of turnovers that
I can almost assure will not happen again. scUM also received another 14 points on top of that due to questionable penalties which miracled their a$$es into the red zone. I think that given how well we moved the ball on them, that valuable time off the clock would account for another tOSU touchdown. So I'm calling it a 31 point swing.

I no longer care about a national championship. After these comments and then the comments saying we are afraid to play them on a nuetral field. My hatred for that school has been further strengthened. I would like nothing more then to pound them into the ground again and again.

And if scUM gets their wish and can have their beloved rematch on a nuetral field, I think Mike Hart will be on the recieving end of a "code red" internal justice for providing the locker room fodder.

I propose that from now on we embrace the idea of a rematch. It probably won't happen anyway. But if the country sees fit, I couldn't be any happier. From here on out I'm pulling for a rematch and I want every Buckeye excited about the idea to spank their mortal enemy one more time!

Well yeah,but he is correct on some things there Thump. He is still wound up like I'm sure there are others as well if not worse! My husband is the same way,he was wiggin'. Others around us were too at the game!
I was talking to a guy at the Buckeye Hall Of Fame Cafe when about 1:50 seconds left on the clock when a scUM player went down on their side feigning an injury to his leg. He said that he totally had it with that. It was LLLLLoyd's clock control idea! Did not work in your favor CARR!:slappy:

forget it, Mich players talk shit. They always do. Let them say all they want, the buckeyes proved on the field who the better team is. You know that, I know that, the rest of the Ohio State fans know that, and even most of ESPN's talking heads are acknowledging it.

I say let scUM go to the rose bowl and beat up Florida or Arkansas or Notre Dame (again).

Bring on USC in Glendale! 3 number 2 teams in the same season will all go down, and there will be no doubt who the best team in the land is.

I agree, they had theier chance and blew it. And no Notre Dame either! Michigan beat ND, we beat scUM, both teams are done. As far I I'm concerned, give us the title now! No championship game! We are the only ones left undefeated! The rest are losers! End of story!:osu:

If we lose it will suck. But also, maybe we don't deserve to be National Champions. So I'm not worried about losing. We've done our job. If I had to choose one team that I would love to play, it will always be Michigan. But I think an even better answer to your question is that I don't believe our team is worried about "what if we lose". I feel they would only concern themselves over, "okay, how do we win this time". Anyway, what if we lose to USC, Florida, Arkansas, etc.? I'm not afraid. I trust JT. And I trust Troy Smith. And I especially like our chances with a 100% Alex Boone playing more snaps instead of just rushing downs, a Doug Datish without a cast, a perfectly good and successful game film to go over, Glendale, AZ absolutely loving the Buckeyes who are at this very moment gobbling up every single ticket available and a chance for Troy Smith to finish out his college career against of all teams but Michigan.

It's not the Buckeye's fault that things got out of whack... the Big 10 Championship game, playoff game was rolled into one. Michigan deserves a shot at being number 2... say by beating USC, Florida or Arkansas... and the Buckeyes deserve the right to prove they're number one by playing the best of the two remaining one loss teams.

Before some of us go off on a nut about Hart's comments, pause to reflect on how important Michigan's shit kicking of Notre Dame was. If the Irish win that game I double guarantee you that Troy is playing second fiddle to Quinn in the Heisman race and we're sitting number two in the polls and praying for a USC victory over Notre Dame to be sure we get in the BCS chamiponship game.

Thoughts for reasonable Ohio State Fans

:scum: I can totally agree with you guys when you say you beat Michigan which I bleed Maze and Blue. Congrats on your win. You beat us fair and square. However the reason I want a rematch is this. You won the Big Ten Title but you havent won the National Title yet. It shouldnt matter what division you come from to be eligiable to play in the National Championship. I think Ohio State has been winning these last few years and now you guys know what its like to be on top as we were for so many years. I think USC gives no compitition to you all and I think as far as a great football game ....Name one game that topped the Ohio State vs Michigan game as far as betting on it and tv ratings and excitment? I think with losing Bo this week and then losing the game had to be the hardest thing to swallow for me. Congrats You Won ....but then again who really have you played that has actually gave you a game. Why doesnt Ohio State Play teams like Norte Dame ? My point is this I think that everyone in the big ten should play eachother and then play teams from other divisions and then get ranked according to that. This bullcrap of big ten teams not playing all of the teams in the division is horsecrap. I will end saying this ...even thou you may not like it .....Your football team didnt kill us like you all thought it would and I think you all are afraid of playing Michigan again cause it would be a different ending. The great thing about that is look at all the money that the Big Ten would get from that. God Bless Bo and God Bless the Wolverines. No one knew who Ohio State was and now you have a few good years and now you guys talk trash and refer to is as SCUM. Well lets compare appearel in this country. You are 80% more likely to see a person to wear a Michigan shirt then you see wearing Ohio State shirt. Besides when the founders of that state called it the Buckeye state they Mispelled it......it was suppose to be the Bullseye State.
