The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

All those wanting an 8-team playoff...Michigan, who was crushed by our Bucks in The Game and didn't play for their conference title, would be in this year.
you're assuming that an 8-team playoff would necessarily consist of the 8 highest ranked teams. it would be very easy to design an 8-team playoff that would not lead to a spot for ttun.

---

5 bids for major conference champions, provided that they qualify.
1 bid for a non-major team, provided that it qualifies.
2+ at-large bids determined by ranking (number of bids depending on above).

qualifier: top 10 (or top 12/whatever) ranking

---

b1g - osu
acc - clemson
sec - bama
b12 - oklahoma
pac - washington (qualifies per #9 ranking)

ucf (qualifies per #8 ranking)

nd (highest ranked at-large)
uga (second highest at-large)

Yes, and so would OSU, UGA, and UCF..... all teams, I believe, that should have an "opportunity" to at least "compete" for a Natty bc of the great regular seasons they all had. Enough with this 4-team beauty pageant shit.

Yeah, I'm assuming that...because that's what the past has told us. No one's more for objectivity than I am, but the fact of the matter that no one at the table has had the chops to stand up to the SEC's preferred approach of "x best teams."

if the playoff expands, by no means will the b1g, b12, and pac stand for a "x best teams" approach. they'll absolutely demand auto-bids. the qualifier, though, is what would -- or should -- appease everyone. for example, no one could reasonably justify pitt's bid if they had instead gone 8-5 after beating clemson.

edit: i think the sec's biggest issue is not centered on selecting the best teams. nah, though the sec won't admit it, the reason they don't want an expansion is because they don't like the possibility of heading into the foreign, cold north for the first round.

Erroneous. Assuming five P5 champs, highest rated G5 champ and two at-large bids, the first round would look like this.

Washington @ Alabama
UCF @ Clemson
Ohio State @ Notre Dame
Georgia @ Okie

The only thing in tsun's hand when they come out of that bathroom is their dick.
