The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Kentucky.....lost to now unranked Texas A&M and Georgia proved they arent that good.....drop only 2 spots.

Florida wrecked at home by 4 loss team....drop only 4 spots

Auburn somhow ranked.

Looking awful vs Bama hardly causes LSU to fall far.

SEC bias in the ESPNSEC Invitational is "just a conspiracy though"

And that is in no way promoting Ohio State either.

But the bias is constant and obvious. ESPN is banking on people either willingly going with it and watching their programming or ignoring it entirely since it helps their team/region. It's pathetic. Until people stop watching the games/bowl games and ranking shows they are going to keep doing what they are doing.

Exactly, i'm sure theres very few if any here that would advocate for Ohio State in the playoff this year. I'd actually say Ohio State's ranking is "about right" at the moment. Until they prove otherwise.

The Florida one gets me the most though.

A good example in comparison. Ped State dropped 6 spots (same losses as Florida) they got wrecked by the #4 team. Florida loses AT HOME to an unranked 4 loss team and only drops 4 spots. SEC poll math is great.

To be fair.....looking like shit against Bama doesn't really tell me anything about where you should be ranked.

My complaints are more about Florida/Kentucky and them sneaking Auburn into the top 25 a week before they play UGA. LSU you can probably make the best argument for their shallow fall.

Kind of shocked Mississippi State didn't get rocketed up more right before playing Bama.

Ultimately though - the only poll that matters is the one on December 9th this year after the conference championship games. As we saw last year, the CFP is only interested in the best TV draws, not necessarily the most deserving teams and is willing and able to "adjust" the rankings as such.

It's a total farce.

The fact that the committee is clearly stacking up the SEC to prop 2 SEC teams in if Bama loses is very bad for the sport.
Dude. I hate Bama and the SEC as much as anyone.

Having said that, Bama is as good of a team right now as I have seen in a while. Hard to imagine they don’t get in with one loss especially since they did that as a non conf champ last year and didn’t even win their conference yet they won the Natty. And they look better this year. So use a pen to put them in most likely. And if you think a team that beats them from the SEC (Georgia) doesn’t have an argument why THEY should get in then I don’t know what to tell ya. There isn’t a conspiracy. If the roles for the Big 10 and SEC were switched it would be the same. Like it or not there is some damn good football played there. It’s just a fact.

If TTUN was Bama good and we had the chance to beat them in a Conf Champ game then the Big would potentially get 2 in.

Yes there is some SEC bias. But like a lot of biases there are some kernels of truth giving it legs. Want to change that? Then dominate like that. Otherwise it’s all sour grapes pussy talk as far as I’m concerned. I mean that was a damn good Georgia team last year that beat a very good OU team with the #1 draft pick at QB. And you know what? Georgia beat them and deserved to play for the Natty. And Bama beat them. Hard to argue man.

Clearly mediocre teams like Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi State & Auburn should not be awarded some biased benefit of the doubt because "Bama is good"

Bama is good because they are good.......nobody else in the SEC has anything to do with that, and shouldnt get some sort of reward for it.

Hardly surprising to see ESPN push the SEC - it's not like they own SEC Network or anything.

But some folks seem to work awfully hard to feel offended by it.

If Clemson, ND win out and UGA and Bama win out and UGA knocks off Bama in a close game I wonder if they bump TTUN out of the top 4 in favor of Bama/Clemson rematch and UGA and ND even if TTUN wins out. I’d like to see that fan base implode on them being left out and then see them lose their bowl game.

Bama is pretty much in regardless of the SEC title game result. As much as I hate that fact, its pretty much accepted.

The only possible way theyd be left out is if UGA somehow gave them a Ohio State/Wisconsin 2014 B1G title game sized beatdown
