I simply gave my guess on how Saturday's games influenced the playoff rankings. "Top ten because?" Because Florida was sitting at #11, and PSU and Oregon's lost - and Minnie might lose next week. That should kick Gata up one spot, no?

I only guessed what would happen. I said nothing about what should happen. Feel free to have more discussion about the SEC bias. That topic has been under-addressed.

I am rooting for OU and Utah to be 1-loss power conference champs to make the Committee make a choice between the "eye test favorite" 1-loss team with one good win on the season & no divisional championship let alone conference title, and a power conference champion also with 1 loss. I don't think they have had to make exactly that kind of choice before.

I also want both of those things to happen. Mostly, I really, really want that first thing to happen. In much the same way Bama beat Georgia. But even more soul crushing, like two mutts tipping an INT into an LSU receiver's hands for a touchdown as time expired. Preferably tOSU, LSU, Clemson and Utah, with Bama and Oklahoma left out.
