The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

The only way any of this changes is if people stop watching the product entirely and/or the B1G/Big 12 and PAC-12 tell Disney/ABC to stick it and give exclusive rights to Fox and/or NBC.

I'm very interested in seeing what happens the next time the Ntre Ame TV contract is up with NBC. Does NBC team up with Fox and do they cut NTre Ame loose? Does this force Ntre Ame to join the ACC for football entirely? It's not that far off, the TV contract is up in 2025.

Why not just dispense with the whole East vs West, Coastal vs Atlantic or whatever two division garbage and have the two top ranked teams from each conference play in the CCG? That way you have to win the CCG to be considered for the playoff, and if you have a rematch, the loser of the regular season game cannot play in the CCG.

Problem with throwing a computer system back in now is you risk that chance of having something similar to ESPNs FPI deciding things.

Computer rankings are only as unbiased as the people programming them

This is why I prefer conference champions get auto bids.

"But what if they've lost 3 games? Then you won't get the 'best' teams!"

I'd rather have a 3 loss team who actually won their bid on the field than a team who didn't but got "eye test" and hyped into it. I'm tired of that shit.

Then you're going to have rematches in CCGs almost every year. Don't realign or eliminate divisions just because one is worse than the other.

The B1G is the only conference with the clout to stand up to espn, and that wasn't going to happen as long as Delaney was still around and thinking his job was to protect the Rose Bowl at all costs and no matter the sacrifices that the B1G and its schools had to make. Hopefully, the new guy sees things more clearly.

Also how many times do 3 loss teams really win P5 conference? Im sure its not very common. Maybe 1 every 2 or 3 years?

With a championship game, it means you would have had to win your division with 3 losses and then win the ccg I'm not going to look back, but I'd guess more like once every 10 is closer in which case you have your Cinderella that year.

What I think nobody wants to see is a 16 team playoff where Ohio State or Alabam wipes its ass with a 3 or 4 loss MAC team.

Wisconsin won the B1G in 2012 with a conference record of 4-4 and a regular season record of 7-5. Granted, that was solely because both we and the Pedsters were ineligible for conference championship game and post-season bowl games due to NCAA sanctions, but they still smoked Nebraska (10-2, 7-1) in the B1G CCG.

I know Washington won the PAC with 3 losses last year, that's about the only one I can think of recently.......besides as mentioned by Millani when Wisconsin won the B1G when us and the peds were ineligible for the B1G title game.

Ok, since 2000

ACC -
2011 Clemson 3 losses
2008 Va Tech 4 losses
2005 FSU 4 losses
2002 FSU 4 losses

Pac 12 -
2018 Washington 3 losses

B1G-
2012 Wisconsin - 5 losses

SEC-
2001 LSU - 3 losses

Big 12-
2003 Kansas State - 3 losses

Besides the ACC, each other P5 has had exactly 1 3+ loss champ in the last 19 years. Since 2000 there have been 0 years with 2 3+ loss champs in the same season

Part of me hopes it ends
OSU 1
LSU 2
Clemson 3
Bama 4

Just so we get to shit on the SEC twice.

I'd rather see Clemson #4 so we can beat their fucking asses:

Every time Clemson gets a road win against a top 25 team they add a tombstone to the ‘grave yard’ in front of the indoor football practice facility. (there are currently over 75 tombs stones in the grave yard)
