Color me shocked. LSU gained a lot of points, but we gained about twice as much as they did.

The Bucks coming in at #3 isn’t even a factor when considering them against LSU, they’re at #3 because they don’t have the balls to put them at #1 where they belong.

Everyone with a decent set of eyeballs knows that this Buckeye squad is hands-down better than the top 3 right now. Bama and Clemson being 1/2 is hysterical. Neither of them belong there.

So, let’s just sit back and enjoy the chaos over the next few weeks.

I'll admit I was wrong about the pollsters dropping Iowa worse than Auburn. It was a push to slightly favoring Iowa.

They did however, keep my faith in their incompetence intact by leaving 3-2 Texas A&M ranked in both polls.

To be fair, the mighty A&M team did manage to defeat Arkansas just like San Jose State did and they did manage to score 31 points against Arkansas just like San Jose State did but they allowed Arkansas to score 3 more points than San Jose State did.

So if you are sitting at 3-2 and San Jose State is 3-2 and SJS beat the one common opponent worse than you did, well, pardon my cynicism, I don't think you should be ranked any higher than San Jose State.

Let's not kid ourselves though, San Jose State being ranked isn't going to help Bama or Clemson and these polls have a purpose.

Everyone with a decent set of eyeballs knows that this Buckeye squad is hands-down better than the top 3 right now. Bama and Clemson being 1/2 is hysterical. Neither of them belong there.

Better? Yeah. "hands-down" better? Nope, at least not Alabama. I think if we played Clemson right now we'd smoke them. If we played Bama right now on a true neutral field, we'd maybe win by 3-7 points.

Ole Miss just put up 31 against Bama. If the Bucks played Bama right now it’d be a slaughter. MSU has a much better defense than Bama this year.

Big Ten is easily the best conference right now despite what ESPN’s financial interests claim.

Florida/Clemson/Bama/Auburn = mediocre. Bucks are on a different level. Watched all of them play and they’re sloppy even against the worst of the bottom feeders. Ohio State’s QB transfer is the best thing the SEC has going this season. Facts.

Not disagreeing with anything, but I don't really want that #1 in CFP era.
We have a big enough mark and struggle to not overlook opponents... and, since there isn't a single playoff game in B1G territory (Thanks Delaney), there is 0 benefit to being 1 or 2 for Ohio State. We'll always be playing "away", 1 or 4.

Agreed. Bama's WRs scare the fucking shit out of me and I'd bet money Saban gets that run game together. Defense should be stout at the end of the year as well.

Honestly, at the top of the conferences you have:

SEC: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Auburn

B1G: Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, scUM, Minnesota/Iowa/Michigan State?

If the top five played each other, the SEC wins 4-1, Ohio State would be the only winner.
