The Hardest Video Game You've Ever Played

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

w/o weapons/health codes. So fucking difficult.

Agreed.

Did you complete all the side missions as well? Because that my friend would be VERY impressive

I did that too. Took me a looooong time. I did feel as if the last mission wasn't as hard as some of the others though.

It got a little more tough on the roof, but other than that, it wasn't bad.

By far, one of the best missions due to it's difficulty!

I still say Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is the best game in the series. They just brought so many new things to the table, like real music tracks on the radio stations while in cars. (built off what GTA:III started)

Agreed, Vice City is by far the best. It was a shame we had to kill Lance Vance. That dude was my favorite character.

Some of those cuban missions were crazy hard if I remember correctly

But man was their gang vehicle the COOLEST! A flat black Hermes with flames, IIRC.

Yeahhhh!

For me, probably Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis. I don't ever remember getting past the fucking City level a few rounds in. Of course, I haven't played since I was at least 10 or so.

Loved that game. My all time favorite on Genesis was Deion Sanders' PRIMETIME Football!

I had I think it was '92 Tony Larussa Baseball....the power hitters looked like a roided out weight lifter...middle of the road guys looked like normal, and then your speedy guys looked like stick figures. It was hilarious

Gone are the days of multiple sports titles.... Thanks EA...

Sonic 2, I think it was, that allowed for 2 players was so awesome. Where you raced against each other with the viney looking level. Oh and when you got to do the emerald halfpipe looking thing was so awesome. Man I miss those days

Ninja Gaiden
TMNT
Mega Man X3/X6
Sonic 1/Sonic & Knuckles

Holy shit do I miss the '90s.

Those Mega Man X games were awesome, although difficult at times. I tried the more recent ones when they went 3 dimensional on the PS2...just not the same. Gotta have that side scrolling action!

The maze at the end of this was ridiculous. Couldnt save and come back later to finish. It required 8 hour sessions to get to the end, and no finish. Sounds like a bad date.
There was a maze of stairs at the end with seemingly no solution. Nintendo.

I'll 2nd Ninja Gaidan, the original.
Could never finish the original Castlevania. Another no save jewel. Both on original Nintendo.

And then there was this PC game that gets my vote for hardest. Just could not get anywhere. For the time (1991), great graphics. But game play? Brutal.

These come to mind immediately, but there are others I'm sure if I thought about it long enough.

My roommate freshman year of college bought Vice City and promptly told me "I'm not leaving to do anythin until I beat this game."

2 days later he had beaten it to 100% with all of the side missions.

This is probably why he never had a g/f
