Played today on aerated greens. It rained a ton last night so the fairways were pretty saturated. Despite the conditions, and my score (about 15 strokes above my handicap), it was wonderful getting out in this gorgeous weather and enjoying a good time with great friends on the golf course.

Went out friday, greens were crap and low spots were VERY wet. shot an 86 with all pars and bogeys. sadly had 4-5 3 putts, i blame the greens. i found out that i lost some length to my drive. id say i was avg around 260. last year i was crushing it closer to 290. Im sure it'll come back to me.

Reading through these posts, living in Florida kicks ass. I've played about 6 times in the last two weeks. Weather has been perfect. Courses are in good shape and I've played with a lot of new folks which is always a pleasure. I'll play again sometime this week, I feel obligated with the weather being what it is.

Has anyone hit the new RocketBallz from TM yet? I have hit it in the bay at golfsmith, felt good--I just like to see true flight outdoors.

The guy I played with yesterday had a few and I played them for a while. They really jump off the face of the club, feel lightweight on impact and fly well. I'm a solid player and was hitting new driver/woods yesterday and was surprised at the distance I was getting. I'm a cheap player but would consider getting a sleeve or two when I get my the new clubs dialed in.

Just got back from Pinehurst. What an awesome golf trip.

Played 36 at Tobacco Road - 27 at Legacy - 18 at Hyland - 18 at Southern Pines.

Tobacco Road is an absolute MUST for anyone that goes there. I'd venture to say you will never play another course quite like it.

Southern Pines was in phenomenal shape and was my second fav course out of the four.

Ate at some place called Dickey's BBQ - it's a chain restaurant but it was good. Also tried BeefEaters which was excellent!

Didn't go to Pure Gold but half our group did.

Great trick I learned from a buddy yesterday.

Was trying to clean up his black golf shoes and decided to use Armor All wipes and I mean these two year old shoes looked like they just came out of the box!

Give it a try and let me know what you guys think.

Was able to play Wednesday, Saturday and today this week. It has been in the 80s and awesome.

They rolled and mowed our greens Friday. Mowing the tees/fairways this week.

This spring has been incredible. Like fourteenandoh said, its all bonus. Even bonus money for the clubs, which is good.

no assesments this year...

playing tomorrow at 9. Should I wear an Aaron Craft jersey?

I have some 4 year old or so Adams A3OS irons. They've done fine but I hate not having a regular 5 and 4 iron, mine are hybrid irons at the 4 and 5.

Anyone try the new Rocketballz? I'm thinking for 799 I could probably make a new iron purchase and those will last me for the next 10 years.

My coach tells me I need stiff shafts and my old irons are regular flex.

I got a free burner 2.0 but after six swings the head exploded off the shaft and I've since read they have "issues".
