i would look into adding a few degrees to your pitching wedge to get it where you hit it 130. do you also have a lob wedge?

Just had a 50 degree made and tried it out but still wasn't longh enough so had it bent to about 48.

Put my PW on the stand and it came out at 43 degrees.

No wonder I hit it so far!

Played the club for the first time yesterday and it worked like a champ from 120 yds.

Thanks a ton for the help.

Question, any of you out there have a 50 degree wedge?

I currently have a dead zone that I don't have a club for.

Hit my sand wedge about 85 yards.

Hit my 52 degree about 105 yds.

Hit my pitching wedge 140 yds.

I need a club for about 120-125 yards b/c trying to take a ton off of my PW is not helping my score.

uh man up and hit your sw harder...

Going to play the OSU Gray course for my first 18 of the year this afternoon...Wanted to play Scarlet, but didn't feel like being overly discouraged with the first round of the year at a tough course lol

Ah, the new golf season is here. I'm getting out tomorrow.

My favorite public courses for the money in Central Ohio. (I'm a former golf pro)
(in no particular order)
Clover Valley (monthly memberships are crazy low)
Tartan East (twilight rate is great, when it's not too wet the course is fantastic)
Chapel Hill (if you get out to the Mount Vernon area, be sure to have the whole day to use their unlimited golf, food, and beverage deal - you can play 36 and be well fed for something like $15 extra) They have limited the amount of beer, but it's still a great deal.
Cooks Creek - simply a great course for the money. Lots of coupons and deals for this course.
Foxfire - tough course in usually great shape.
Turnberry - my favorite city course. (not the hardest, but my favorite nonetheless)
Mill Creek - Ostrander - not a hard course, but whenever I play there it's a good time. A lot of fun holes. Very inexpensive.

Courses I think that are overrated for the money:
Bent Tree
- good course, but way too much money.
Golf Club of Dublin - looks nice, but there really is nothing to this course. Aside from sodded bunkers and stone walls, it plays nothing like a links course. Very easy and a ton of money to play.
Glenross Golf Club - used to be Tanglewood. It's usually in decent shape, but it's REALLY easy and costs quite a bit. I do play here once in awhile and then I wonder why it costs so much.
Delaware Golf Club: Under new ownership (again) - terrible shape, over $50 greens fee, and aside from a few good holes, the course stinks.

Clover Valley is a great course for the $$$, but their management is not so good. It's a 6 hour Saturday round course.

Johnstown has a couple other nice courses as well.
Kyber Run is a decent course for the money.
The Links at Echo Springs is a great course, if you can find it.

Since you don't seem to mind the drive.... It take just about as long to get to Eaglesticks for me as it does Chapel Hill, and I would rather play Eaglesticks any day of the week. Especially with their prices down.
Another great course if you don't mind paying a little extra is Granville.

Have you played split rock on the South side. Great course for less than $40. Not too far from Cooks Creek.

A couple years ago I would have included Indian Springs on your best courses, but with it down to 18 holes, it isn't quite so attractive.

Rough day today out on Gray...I couldn't get into any rhythm and my body was tight the entire round. Didn't play well but it could have been worse, had some good shots and some bad. The round got better on the back 9. Made some adjustments from previous bad habits. And man was that wind brutal so that didn't help. Spring break will be nice, going to my parents country club every day to hit balls on the range will help.
