Played Belterra Friday. Really nice course.

Lost 8 balls into the hazards. Had no clue where my driver was going.

Hell, lost 3 on one hole and recorded a 10. :smash:
I bet you 're glad you didn't have to get rid of groundhogs using your driver and golf balls .

Shot the best round of my life yesterday.

Had never shot in the 70's on a course I'd consider legit. Did back in the day on a course that was about 5700 yards, I don't count that but finally broke through yesterday.

Shot a 76 at Mentel Memorial from the tips. Not the hardest course but over 7000 yards from the tips.

Funny thing is, I'd played one of my worst rounds of the year the day before at Turnberry and shot in the mid 90's there.

That's the new John Cook couse yes?

What did you think of it? Nicer than Cook's Creek?

Yes it is.

Get out and play it before it goes private. Actually the membership is reasonable (5k down and 150 per month for family) They are adding some nice amenities like tennis courts, pool, etc....

Northstar is nicer, but it really helps to have a member or someone who has played it before with your group. There are about 6-8 blind shots on the course.

It is reasonably long, but not too bad. The greens have a ton of variety, some are huge (50+ yds wide) some are tiny (about half that)

I am excited to play North Star next week. Playing Moundbuilders this Friday.

Bogeyed 17 and 18 to shoot 81 at the Scarlet last week. I didn't realize I was that close to breaking 80 until I got to the parking lot.

Anyone play Pinncale yet? I used to coach with guy who did the development and I am interested in getting out there.

Same thing happened to me this month. I shot a 95 at Brown's Run in Middletown and followed it up with a 77 at Jamaica Run in Germantown.

There is nothing like consistency.

Toughest course around. About 7500 from the tips with lots of blind shots I heard.

Advice I got from a buddy who played it is play with someone who has played there before b/c of the blind shots.

His new favorite course. Know of a few people who've left their previous club to join Pinnacle.
