Yep, I've seen them live many times.

Back in '93 we used to drive down to watch them play at a bar in Richmond VA called Flood Zone.

They had a weekly gig there before their first album came out.

(I've seen them a couple of times since as well)



BTW - I'm not knocking Dave & the boys. They're fun to watch...but they're not in my top 10 of best live performances I've ever seen.

I had a similar experience - luckily (or unluckily maybe) I was in a rented Ryder truck which definitely didn't have an airbag.

Would Donnie and Marie count as a band? If not, add me to list of folks who put down the Village People although I'm not sure it counts if the band set out to prove they were gay so then maybe it's The Beasty Boys, but then they were trying to act black so maybe its Boyz to Men, but they at least had a harmonic sound so maybe it's Fi'ty Cent. Although the pic of Flaming Seagulls or whoever TF they are looked like 4 guys from Williams College trying not to look too Abercrombie and Fitch, so maybe it is them, but hey, what about Marvin Gay? I mean that kind of just puts it right out there doen't it?
