THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

He's not really wrong though. C.J. IS without a doubt a great person and represents the University very well. I don't think anyone is questioning that.
Maybe it's just his personality, but I've just never really seen him show the passion or fire expected from a leader of one of the top teams in College Football.
Don't get me wrong, I think CJ is extremely talented and has tried to do his best for the team. I truly believe in his heart he cares about The Game, but as I've said elsewhere on the board, nobody on the team really seems to show that passion outwardly. Every time we see shots of our bench everyone is just sitting there almost looking disinterested. Who is the team leader that is going to get up in guys faces, or travel up and down the bench trying to fire guys up? We haven't seen that for two years.

Almost like a pro team/atmosphere

42 and 5 over four years and folks want to burn the house down. Wow. Just wow.

There were only a couple of people on here wanting Day replaced. Most of us have just been pointing out our challenges that Day has to fix before they become “cultural “.
Hi. I'm one of the guys probably being most vocal about my, um, concerns.

Let me lay it out there - I AM NOT saying Ryan Day should be fired. He's 45-5, that would be insane. Where I am is being an extremely concerned fan for the approach Coach Day is taking towards The Game. We can all look at that shiny, sexy .900 winning percentage and be impressed. It is very, very good; and I've said I think Ryan Day is a tremendous face of the program. HOWEVAH...I'm seeing way to many painfully familiar issues with the last game in November. Ryan Day needs to recalibrate how he approaches The Game because all of those fun blowout wins against the rest of the conference and exciting bowl wins mean exactly bupkiss when you lose the most important game on the schedule. That's what being a Buckeye is and always has been. Give me 10-3 with a win over scUM over 12-1 and losing to those fuckers. Every. Fucking. Year.

It looks like we are running the college version of the IMG academy. Come here to run pro style offensive plays and get exposure for the next level. Not a great recipe for “buy in” for the game or leadership.
Lmao I feel like these were the exact same criticisms of Urban when we were getting nuked by Purdue and Iowa.

BTNs talking heads - speaking of which, Nicole Auerbach has legs - make some interesting comments about Knowles’ defense - like why, when you have an edge in talent, do you play such a high risk defense. Takes me back to an early season interview of Knowles and his comments about not having worked with this much talent. As for Auerbach, lovely hooters too.
