Ohio State football is too corporate. I made a joke when they were asking people to redesign the turf that I was surprised they didn't charge people to put in submissions. The more I thought about it, the more I was surprised they weren't.

The opposite of the problem that Texas has. Ohio State--going back to Woody--has consciously not cultivated big cigars who could influence the program. It's the culture of the program in the opposite way that the influencers and their ranches are at Texas Instead, they used the Buckeye Club to develop thousands and thousands of 5 figure donors who ultimately had no power. They choose to hold back their money, and the only thing matters is they can't buy season tickets anymore. There literally is no one on the outside who can call up Johnson and Smith and tighten the screws.
Woody's famous quote was that you have boosters who'll buy you a Cadillac and the next thing you know they're buying you the tank of gas to get out of town.
