That's not necessarily true. Borges' playcalling the first 20 minutes had the defense totally scrambled. There were certainly defensive shortcomings, but his playcalls kept them off-balance. Once he emptied the playbook, though...well, the same issues that have been recurring for the better part of 2 years became very glaring.

I really do hope that the referees' performance will be reviewed. I thought that they were shocking, from the way they failed to get in to stop the brawl before it started to the way they spotted the ball. Every time that Ohio State put together a momentum-changing big play in the first half, they called it back. Calling phantom holds against Ohio State and letting TSUN hold all day. They sucked.
