Our church has no bells.
Upon a day's reflection, I think that this was the best possible way to win The Game this year. Whether anyone else from media hacks to SEC trash understands this doesn't matter. The Game matters, period. What comes next... comes next but on 11/30/13 we ripped the absolute heart out of the scUMmers. They fought hard for most of the day and while we arguably played down to them that certainly wasn't their fault. They did everything they could to win against a team that no one honestly thought they had a chance to beat and were right there to take it, to win and actually be valiant Victors and then... their coach sh*t the bed and they lost AGAIN.
Beating us and ruining our undefeated season and chance to play for the NC was scUM's season. We got their best game. They lived up to The Game and so did we. I wanted a blowout going in. I wanted a second half blowout. Neither happened and neither should've. We've got issues that have to be sorted out and the prospect of the pass defense I saw yesterday against FreeShoesU is alarming but that is what happens next. Yesterday was pure and right and, although I didn't realize it at the time, inspirational to me personally. We fought and kept fighting and won it at the end because our fight intimidated Hoke. He made not a gutsy but an epically (is that a word?) stupid call because he wasn't man enough to kick the conversion and try to win it in OT. The way I saw them play, I think his players were up to that challenge but their coach didn't have that faith in them... and that was part of the beauty of this win. It's 12/1/13... and michigan still sucks.
