So we beat Georgia last year and then TCU to win the natty, you’d be worried about last yrs Michigan win? Honestly, would would you even care about this yrs loss if we won a natty…I only care that we lose to Michigan because it was, and is as today, the impediment to our larger goals. Next year that's not the case. It’s for sentimental value mostly unless we lose 2x.

You think the Chiefs care that the Eagles beat them last week if they win another SB? I think not.

If that is your interpretation of my "only point" then yeah, you missed some stuff but let's drop the bullshit. You just want to argue the "We can't do any better than Day" side of the argument.

No offense but that's a terrible comparison, yes the Game will lose some value, but it will never lose it's importance. I'm not American but my hometown club plays our biggest rival twice a year at least and I can guarantee you even if the games have nothing at stake it still means the world to us to win because nothing is sweater than sweeping your most hated enemy

To make it clear, I’d be fine paying for championships regardless of how we get there. Of course beating TSUN makes that path easier and more satisfying. All I’m saying is that going forward, beating them is not the only path to a natty and that’s the ultimate goal for me. I have plenty of B10 championships and gold pants over the past 20 plus yrs as a buckeye. Only have two NCs tho. I want more of those.

I guess it will be generational.

Gold Pants are won. NC's are arbitrary media tournament things that are given.

Give me the former any given year and I couldn't care less about the latter. I don't care what Rece Davis or anyone at ESPN thinks about us.

2018 was the last great year. This is misery.
