THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

The key plays were all in their favor. They treated this game like it was do or die. They were aggressive and creative. They played to win, and we called the game like we were trying not to lose. End of the first half. I don't like the decision to attempt a 52 yard field goal. Be aggressive. Their aggression was why they were winning. Gotta go win The Game. Can't hope they give it to you.

The TD that should not have been was massive. Not only is it not a TD, it should have been OSU ball at the 20. The ball was never controlled by the offensive player, and only one person established possession.. not blaming the loss on the officials though. But this was a huge fucking call.

We had multiple drops. Just easy first downs that weren't converted due to drops.

Kyle... man. Some tough throws, some tough decisions.

We couldn't stop them on fourth down, and they scored 30 points. But most importantly the defense couldn't provide the momentum shift the team needed at various points throughout the season (which is arguably unfair to the defense, but that's what this team has been all year). Michigan was absolutely dominant on 4th down. I thought the defense played well, overall. But they gave up crucial plays on 4th down all game and weren't as good as Michigan's offense in those moments.

Sucks. OSU still could have won the game despite all this. Props to UM for being better at executing their game plan. Fuck 'em though.

Urban Meyer's legacy at Ohio State: 7-0 vs scUM; beat #1 Alabama; won the 2014 national championship. In retrospect, nobody cares that he got blown out by Purdue or Iowa in some meaningless midseason game.

Ryan Day's legacy at Ohio State: 1-3 vs scUM; blew double-digit leads to Clemson in the 2019 playoffs and to Georgia in the 2022 playoffs; blow out loss to #1 Alabama.

You could say that Ryan Day's legacy might look a whole lot different if scUM doesn't duck him in 2020 and doesn't cheat in 2021 and 2022; and maybe his legacy actually will look a whole lot different after the NCAA gets done hammering scUM (wins vacated or forfeited).

And you could also say that Ryan Day's legacy might look a whole lot different if the replay officials don't "screw" him on calls against Clemson in 2019, and Georgia in 2022, and scUM in 2023. Maybe so, but I would respond that Day had the ball with plenty of time to score in each of those games and his teams couldn't get the job done – interception, missed field goal, interception. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern, it's who you are.

Don't get me wrong – I'm not in favor of firing Ryan Day, at least not yet. I'm hoping that he will eventually become Kirby Smart, who couldn't win a big game to save his life for his first five years at Georgia and now is looking to become the first coach in the Poll Era of college football to threepeat as national champions. Day is a great recruiter, he runs a clean program, he prepares players for the NFL (his actual real job), he doesn't inexplicably lose games to Big Ten bottom dwellers, and he doesn't embarrass himself or his program (unlike his peers Tressel, Meyer, and Harbaugh). That's a lot of positives, many more than John Cooper can boast.

If I can level any criticism of Ryan Day it would be this – that he's more like an NFL coach than a college coach. In other words, he favors talent and strategy and precision over emotion and tactics and risk. But sometimes you gotta say: "What the fuck, make your move." Your turn, Ryan.
One thing I'll counter is that I don't hold the Alabama loss against him at all. He had a team decimated by COVID, Fields playing with a cracked rib and was going up against what many people consider to be Saban's best Alabama team.

Fleming needs to go. I don't care if he's a good man results just aren't there.

Also it's a 4-2-5. Probably should have played 4-3 this game but would have killed to have a Pete Werner in this game against the TE
Would have liked to have seen Tate in this game. Pretty short bench at WR and DL today.

They had Simon , Eich and Chambers in early and I was thinking Knowles you marvelous bastard. But then he went away from it.

Too many times they got yards after contact on us. We don’t do a good job of hitting and driving guys backwards. This has been a negative all year where RBs fall forward for 2-3 yards

He really is an NFL coach. Look at all the talent from OSU in the NFL the last few years. And he may be passionate about winning with OSU but it's all about what you want to see I guess. He still has a pass from me for this year. Next year, he needs to beat Michigan. Pretty sure all else doesn't matter at this point.

Happy Thanksgiving from hammer drop.

It’s a true delight to watch everyone navigating through anguish and despair. I noticed some of the more mouthy, vicious contributors shrink away the forum after a crushing defeat. I have been on here every year for at least 10 years and I must say this victory probably brings me the most joy, and probably brings you the most sadness.

I want to give all of you filthy buckeyes, a little piece of advice when it comes to how and why you think we won.

You don’t have to believe your own b******t if you don’t want to.

Peace be unto you my banned new friend

Enjoy that replay of the '47 NC to get you through the winter

Cheating fraudulent scum. Enjoy the vacated wins, forfeits, and bowl bans. Your program is a stinking shit pike that would be laying in the gutter if they hadn't cheated in the most brazen way. Have fun getting your shit pushed in by Indiana in a few years.

You can't even spell hammer properly in your own name. 10 years of shitty banned accounts most likely, since you lost most of those games.

I was always taught bring your arms wrap the legs and lift to take the power from the RB. Instead we hit high and stopped our feet and too many times didn't even wrap. I know old school tackling has fallen out of style but there is a reason it existed when teams were primarily run teams. So many 4 yard gains would have been 2 or less with proper old schools form tackling
