First of all, I never said mccord sucks.

He missed a wide-open fleming multiple times. He underthrew cade on an easy would be TD early. The first pick was egregious. The loft down the seem to a wide open egbuka was absurdly late.

Was he garbage? No

Was he good enough to win? No

No one said he's perfect.

People are shitting on him for both interceptions. Neither one was his fault other than he was the one throwing the ball. McCord is NOT the problem that people are making him out to be.....

Just like with Stroud, someone has to be the villain I guess. But it's horseshit.

My biggest gripe with this team is the fact that Ryan Day still calls the offense… and it is very vanilla. He thinks his 4-5 stars will win straight up. He never calls anything that resembles a trick play. Never! No end around, flea flickers half back passes, nothing! Where was the misdirection run McCord one direction, throw back to Henderson? He ran that play when Henderson was a frosh like 3 times. He is an NFK coach, and it shows.

Yeah the send Trey out wide and run the counter to XJ wasn't creative. God damn people have lost their minds

Nah. OSU had one of the best defenses in. CFB all year and just fell short today. Knowles blitzes more and gets beat by deep plays again, people are still going to bitch. The jump from year 1 was amazing and I’m looking forward to what the jump from year 2 to 3 is going to be. You want mediocrity, Grinch is available to ruin Christmas and the new Year.

While I don’t give a passing grade for Day, I also don’t see a viable alternative that maintains the rest of the success. Michigan had their “team of an era” for the past 3 years and that level is not likely to sustain.

Who would be better?

Day can improve zero % and still tie his record with Michigan in two years if they take the step back that we expect.

Yeahhhh, the D didn’t “lose” the game, but they gave up enough runs and long drives they don’t belong out of the conversation entirely. They bowed up to force some FGs, but gave up too much TOP and waayyyyy too many yards on 3rd and long that allowed them to go on 4th and short multiple times. Make those 4th and 4s and they are punting.
