I will say this. When Pryor threw that interception, and Michigan got the ball in great field position, Ohio Stadium got as loud as I have ever heard it, and i've been to every home game for many many years. That was nuts. Each down it kept getting louder, feeling that Michigan was going nowhere but backward. And then the missed field goal. TOTAL AWESOMENESS!!! That was a lot of fun! First half was typical Ohio State vs. Michigan football. Second half was an all out party in Columbus, felt a lot like 2004, except Michigan just wasn't good on offense at all. I was sad that they scored at all, and very likely could have gone the whole game without scoring. At least according to the stadium scoreboard, Michigan had negative total yards in the first quarter. Great game. Lots of fun! I hope Michigan gets better, because that was embarassing. I'm sure even if they would have been good, we still would have won. But we pretty much could have named the score there in the second half. We really could have scored every time we had the ball after we wore them down. It shouldn't be that way. Michigan shouldn't play soft. Michigan shouldn't be in such terrible condition that they can't move, tackle, or play football in the second half. Michigan came to play. They brought their A game. We came to play as well. But once the second half rolled around, we were just in so much better shape than them, that they couldn't hang. It's sad, but it was like playing a rivalry game with a D1-AA team. Rich Rod is a terrible coach. Some of the play calls were ugly.
Michigan obviously 'planned' to go as a team into our huddle at midfield after warm-ups and start shit. The Buckeyes didn't provoke it, but they obviously weren't going to ignore the Wolverines when they just starting taunting us at mid-field before the bands game out. I don't know how much was shown on TV, but it obviously fired up The Buckeyes and the crowd. Quite possibliy the STUPIDEST thing Michigan could have done before the game. Not that Ohio State wouldn't have been fired up regardless, you could tell that just pissed the players off, and I think was a big reason while our defense stepped it up a notch in the 1st quarter. That was the best quarter our defense has played all year.
Usually the team that wants it more wins The Game. Well, this year I think both teams wanted it, but Michigan is out of shape and just didn't have the players to hang with ours. Good effort Michigan...keep trying and maybe you'll get a bowl game again in the next few years.
That was fun. 365 days until The Game!
Go Bucks!!!!!!!!
