If you're sick and tired of S-E-C fans, take heart: soon there'll be a lot fewer of them.
"A lot" fewer?
The virus isn't that deadly.

"An LSU infectious diseases expert seemed to call out the decisions by the Big Ten and Pac-12 as part of a Q&A with The Athletic.
"I would say we have seen enough to develop a safe plan. They have not," Dr. Catherine O'Neal said.
...
Not to disparage Dr. Neal at all, but if she had opined it wasn't safe to play college football this fall, I'm not sure she'd be representing the SEC much longer," said Tom Mars, a prominent Arkansas-based attorney who has battled the NCAA on eligibility issues.
Warren made a call .. make me look good. So report some false positives..
Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease so to speak.I don't think they care. The safest course of action is the road they've chosen, consequences be damned.
Hope has not been a winning strategy yet. Better get use to coexisting with CoVid for years.I do not think there will be football until there is a consensus on treatment or disapearance of the virus. Hopefully that will happen before Spring.
Let’s not forget college football, at its historic core, was a regional game anyway for decades. National champions were crowned by voters who likely never saw all of the teams. Big schools played regional teams as independents. If it goes back that direction, it’s not the end of the world...maybe it’s gotten too big.
Oh I agree, I don’t mean the playoff going away per se. But the big cross country non conference trips could, for example. Everyone’s still going to be on TV. But how much they pay for those rights, and how successful conference and individual team networks are, will depend upon the health of the game as a whole. March Madness is still huge because of gambling, but I don’t know if anyone who would say the college basketball as a whole is as healthy as it used to be.The playoff is never going away as long as the sport exists. It's just a matter of time before it expands.
