The 2020 College Football Season

Already yesterday the numbers in South Carolina dropped dramatically. Hmm, wonder why that is? Watch these epicenter pandemic areas start flat-lining in the coming weeks. We'd been 1000+ new cases/day until the past couple days. Yesterday was a mere 700 with I believe only 6 deaths. CDC officials and DHEC are claiming the masks are the reason for the decline. That's a laugher. Most still refuse to wear them outside of work, and hardly any of my colleagues wear them correctly anyway.

I live about 10 miles from where that happened and the general attitude around here is still "So What?"

Yeah, my mom and dad (from Henry county) were in to visit last weekend and that's pretty much their attitude too. Henry was doing so well for so long... but with a population of like what, less than 30K? Any kind of outbreak is going to shoot ratios through the roof.

Just hope everyone makes it through.

Yeah, I'm just north in Wauseon ( Fulton County) and go to Napoleon quite often. The numbers have been low here, with Fulton county recording it's first death about a week ago. Most people are begrudgingly following precautions, but don't stop to consider that we are right next door to Lucas County ( Toledo) which for quite some time had the worst death rate in the state. People seem to think a virus just stops at the county line.

BTW ... did the B1G “Suspend” Fall sports or did they “Cancel” Fall sports... just wondering if they were stupid enough to not leave themselves any wiggle room
I am not sure what the answer is, but I would observe that the President's would still have the authority to re-institute fall sports even if they had "canceled" them previously. Seems the biggest difference between if they suspended or canceled would be the amount of mud on their faces if they reversed course down the road.
