The 2020 College Football Season

There’s also the opposite scenario though, where the other conferences go ahead, there is a big outbreak among a team or 4, seasons get fucked or canceled in the middle, and the conference gets sued by everyone. It’s hard to say how things will play out.

People get ruthless when there is money on the line and ESPN has promised millions upon millions to the ACC and SEC. They're absolutely going to play. I would imagine the Big 12 is going to follow suit and let's not forget there were several B1G coaches talking about options other than the Big Ten yesterday. Lots to filter out, I agree. I just don't see this as a positive for Ohio State or the B1G long term. I don't think a decision needed to be made today and I sure as hell don't think a decision needed to be made, just so they can say they set the trend first.

Acc and sec full steam ahead at the moment. We’ll see. But if its only pac12 joining the Big Ten...that will be felt. Even by the recruiting behemoth that is OSU.

I'm genuinely very sorry for all of you guys. This sucks beyond belief for a region of the country that genuinely did very well in combating the outbreak.
We (SEC) have six weeks and three days before we kick off. The best thing that came from all of this is it probably scared the shit out of most ACC/SEC/BIG 12 fans. Masking up and staying at home will be a big focus till Sept 26.

Oh I get it, and the cynic in me says this just gives them (conferences and E$PN) the chance to crown their SFC (Southern Football Champion) without the sham of a rigged playoff. But anything can backfire.

I like you man but that's bullshit. The south has done a horrible job of following protocols in general.

Good luck keeping 18-22 year olds locked up at home for a month and a half

There's no way any B1G team is allowed to play with another conference. There are maybe 4 school presidents that would even entertain it (OSU, Neb, PSU, and scUM), and the rest would balk at allowing it, not even addressing the complexities of how money is distributed or not. If any/all of those 4 schools press the issue, Kevin Warren has something worse to worry about than COVID (IMO).
