The 2020 College Football Season

I mean we said the same thing about March Madness yet they cancelled that shit with a quickness.

Big difference there though and I don't think they are even roughly comparable - the first part of it is who is running March Madness vs. who is running College football.

When the sanctioning body says no, then it's a no.

There's really no such thing for the CFP.

For ‘Spring’ football, they could play almost all of the games at Lucas Oil Field in Indy, starting the week before the Super Bowl, or any time after that. They only need to play 7 games a week, they could do 3 on Saturday, and get the others in on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

There would only be one venue that needs to be kept clean, and treated between games. They don’t have to wait until March for decent weather, I don’t think fans are going to be allowed in the stadiums, even in the spring.

I have to believe that Virtual learning will be pushed HEAVILY on a bunch of students for the remainder of the fall.
Oh for sure.. but “Why are football players allowed on campus and given classes on campus and we have to stay home and learn and pay for our school”. Equity comes into play again because Football folks will be bubbled on campus

Sure but in both cases there was a lot of money riding on holding these sport events. That didn’t stop the powers that be from saying “Eh the money isn’t worth the risk” and shutting it all down. It’s not a stretch to think the football powers that be come to the same conclusion.

I don't know if I would equate the general incompetence of the NCAA with the utter ruthlessness that is the SEC and ACC when it comes to TV money and football.

Feel free to do so, but I wouldn't be comfortable saying it.

Gene Smith coming up on BTN. Warren is on now giving very long-winded non-answers.

Describe the process on how the decision was reached. Blah, blah blah, non answer.

Was it a unanimous vote? Blah, blah, blah, non answer.

Could a B1G team play in another conference? Blah, blah, blah, non answer.

Revsine asking decent questions, and they’re getting ducked.
