Can the SEC survive without the late november FCS game?

at the beginning of march, we were having conversations about how we might get the ncaa tournament to work out. how foolish do those conversations appear now?

in a month or two, that's how we're going to look back on these conversations about having an october start.

Yup. Really hope it doesn’t happen but I’d be pretty surprised if we have college football this fall.

So.......Is Notre Dame going to have to sit the season out if it happens?

They are going to join ACC for year.

*I spoke to soon....hearing from Iowa athletic board member ND sees the writing on wall, and will either join ACC or Big 10, if possible. It'd be awfully generous of the Big 10 to let them in (there is some bad blood). But from a logistical standpoint, it'd make far more sense for ND to join Big 10 for a season.

This season is going to be wild, if it happens. Let's be serious, many teams won't get 10 games. So end of year voting is going to be crazy. You might be rating a team that is 8-1 vs a team that is 9-1 to go to Big 10 Championship. It could break a variety of ways. What's better.....9-1 or 7-0? I mean, people need to be prepared for these outcomes.

If the SEC goes to Conference only, we’d like add two more games against cross divisional opponents to make up for OOC games being cancelled.

So in theory, we could end up playing Auburn, Alabama and LSU in the same year.

Ooph. Those would be 2 tough games.
